Proper inventory management is essential for efficient operations and resource planning, so the ability to remove/unassign and permanently delete containers will help you maintain an accurate inventory by removing records for assets that are lost, damaged, or no longer in service.
Deleting vs. Deactivating vs. Removing:
Deleting a container is a permanent action. As it is irreversible, it should be used carefully to maintain an accurate count of your assets. If you prefer to take a container out of circulation but want to keep its record and history, you should deactivate it instead. See How to Deactivate a Container.
Removing a container is the process of unassigning it from a specific location or service. The container still remains active in the overall inventory, but it will no longer be linked to a location or service.
This feature is currently in an open beta. If you run into any issues or have feedback, reach out to support with the blue chat bubble in your Hauler Hero account or support@haulerhero.com.

How to Remove a Container from a Specific Service or Location
These steps will unassign an inventoried container from a specific service or location. The process differs slightly, depending on which tab of a customer's service page you're on (Map & routing or Details & pricing). Both are laid out below!
Removing a Container from the Map & routing tab
Navigate to the customer’s account and select the service the container is assigned to.
From the Map & routing tab, make sure you’ve click the Containers button (instead of Routing). You should see all applicable containers for this customer’s location and service under the Containers heading.
You can either:
click the red trashcan icon to the right of the entry OR
click the checkbox to the left of the container(s) and then click the Remove container button that will appear (showing the count of the containers selected).
Whichever method you choose, you’ll then see those rows turn red. Confirm either Save or Cancel in the upper right corner.
Removing a Container from the Details & pricing tab
Navigate to the customer’s account and select the service the container is assigned to.
Go to the Details & pricing tab.
Scroll down to the Containers section.
Select the checkbox next to the container(s) you wish to remove.
Click the red Remove button that appears at the top of the container list.
Troubleshooting
Can’t find the container? Ensure you don’t have any filters active on the inventory page that might be hiding the container you are looking for.
