Manually moving (drag and drop) a container’s geolocation pin allows you to correct its recorded coordinates for greater accuracy. This ensures that service routes are optimized and that drivers have the exact location of the container, which is particularly valuable for large sites with multiple assets. Accurate geolocations improve service efficiency, correct GPS inaccuracies and reduce the risk of missed pickups by ensuring drivers can find it easily.
You will need access to the Inventory section to complete these steps.

How to Adjust a Container’s Geolocation Pin
Navigate to the Inventory tab from the main navigation menu.
From the “All containers” list, locate the container whose location you need to update and click the vertical three dots icon on the right side.
Choose Edit container.
On the container’s detail page, scroll to the Location map section.
Click and hold the red location pin on the map.
Drag the pin to the precise location where the container is situated and release ("drop") button to set the pin in its new location. The Latitude and Longitude fields below the map update in real-time.
Click the Save Changes button to apply the changes. A green “Container updated successfully” banner will appear at the top of the screen to confirm the update.
Tips
Use the zoom controls on the map for more precise pin placement, especially at large or crowded service locations. You can scroll in and out on your mouse, too.
Not seeing anything populating on the Location Map? If you’re just seeing a gray screen with a crossed out location pin, that means Latitude and Longitude were not entered for this container. Fill out those fields below the map and you’ll see the update.
