This guide explains how to assign a specific measure, such as size or volume, to a container in your inventory. Assigning a measure is essential for accurate inventory tracking, filtering, and ensuring the correct information appears on maps and reports. Ensuring your container data is complete will improve filtering capabilities on both the list and map views and supports correct asset management.

How to Assign a Measure to a Container
From the Hauler Hero office app, click the Inventory tab.
In the All containers list, locate the container you wish to update and click the vertical three dots icon to the right.
Choose Edit container.
On the container’s detail page, locate the Basic information section at the top.
Click the Measure dropdown field to display a list of available measurements.
Select the correct measure from the dropdown list.
Click Save Changes at the top of the screen.
Verify that a green confirmation message, “Container updated successfully”, appears at the top of the page. The change is saved automatically.
What if I’m not seeing the Measure option that I want?
This probably means that it hasn’t yet been set up in your initial Business Line — Attribute settings. Once you’ve done that, you should then see the appropriate measure. See Implementation - Business Lines for more instructions on that process.
