How to Schedule a New Container Delivery

Explains how to schedule a new delivery work order when adding a container to a service from your inventory.

How to Schedule a New Container Delivery from the Customer’s Service Page

These steps ensures that a container is dispatched and delivered to the correct service address on a specific date. You will need an existing service and at least one available container in your inventory.

  1. From the customer’s Services tab, navigate to the specific service you want to update.

  2. Now you have two ways to proceed, depending on which tab you’re on:

    1. From the Details & pricing tab, in the Containers section, click Inventory or

    2. From the Map & routing tab, click the Containers toggle (instead of Routing) and click Inventory.

  3. This opens the Add from inventory dialog.

  4. Select the container you wish to deliver from the list.

  5. Click the Add & Assign work order button.

  6. In the “What should happen with this container?” section, select the Schedule New Delivery option.

  7. Click the calendar icon and choose the desired Delivery date for the work order.

  8. (Optional) To automatically update the container’s location in the system upon completion of the delivery, check the Update container location box.

  9. Click Add & Assign to finalize and schedule the new delivery work order.

This process allows you to efficiently create a delivery work order when assigning a container from your inventory to a customer’s service. Using this feature helps streamline your dispatching operations, ensuring that containers are delivered on time and their locations are accurately tracked within the system.


Troubleshooting

Can’t find the container?

Ensure you don’t have any filters active on the inventory page that might be hiding the container you are looking for.
