What happens when two employees share a phone number?

If two employees share a mobile number, only one is enrolled. See how it happens and how to fix it.

For: Owners, Managers

A mobile number can belong to only one Jolly account. If two employees have the same number, only one of them earns. The other is not enrolled until you fix it.

How does it usually happen?

  • Two people in one household share a phone.

  • An old record still holds the number after someone was rehired.

  • An office or manager number was used as a placeholder.

Steps

  1. Find the shared number in your HRIS. HRIS means the system where you keep employee records.

  2. Give each employee their own mobile number.

  3. Wait for the next automatic update. Anyone who was missed is enrolled on the next automatic update, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
