What happens when two employees share a phone number?

If two employees are recorded with the same phone number, only one of them is enrolled. Here is how to spot it and fix it.

For: Owners, Managers

A mobile number can only belong to one Jolly account. If two employees are recorded with the same number, one of them earns and the other is not enrolled until it's corrected.

How it usually happens

  • Two people in the same household sharing a phone

  • An old record still holding the number after someone was rehired

  • An office or manager number used as a placeholder

What to do

Give each employee their own mobile number in your HRIS. Anyone who was missed is enrolled on the next sync, usually within 24 to 48 hours.
