Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second layer of security to your Chariot Payments Dashboard login. After entering your password, you'll confirm your identity with a one-time code from an authenticator app. This keeps your transaction data, refunds, and payout info protected even if your password is ever compromised.
This article walks you through setup using three supported authenticator apps:
Google Authenticator (iOS or Android)
Apple Passwords (built into iPhone/iPad/Mac)
Google Password Manager (built into Chrome or Android)
Please note -- you can use any authenticator app of your choosing. If you need guidance on an alternative option outside of the three listed above, please contact Chariot support.
Before You Start
You'll need:
Access to your Payments Dashboard at chariotmove.payments-dashboard.com/Login
Your login email and password
One of the authenticator apps listed above installed and ready on your phone or computer
If you need to reset your MFA, reach out to Chariot support for assistance!
Step 1: Log In and Open MFA Setup
Go to chariotmove.payments-dashboard.com/Login or follow the link sent to your email.
Enter your email and password and sign in
Navigate to your Settings → User (located in the bottom left corner)
Look for Dashboard and Security, then Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and click Set Up MFA (or Set Up Authenticator App)
You'll then be presented with an option to set up MFA using Text or Mobile Authenticator. Select Mobile Authenticator.
A QR code will appear on screen — keep this page open. You'll scan it in the next step.
Proceed below to Options A-C.
Don't close the QR code screen. It expires after a few minutes. If it times out, refresh and repeat from Step 3.
Option A: Google Authenticator
Best for: Anyone who wants a dedicated, lightweight authenticator app on their phone.
Setup
Download Google Authenticator from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) if you don't already have it
Open the app and tap the + button (bottom right)
Select Scan a QR code
Point your phone's camera at the QR code on your Payments Dashboard screen
The app will add a new entry — Chariot Payments (or similar) — and begin displaying a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds
Back on the dashboard, enter the current 6-digit code in the confirmation field and click Verify or Enable
Logging In Going Forward
Go to chariotmove.payments-dashboard.com/Login and enter your email and password
When prompted for your MFA code, open Google Authenticator
Enter the 6-digit code shown for your Chariot Payments entry
Click Verify — you're in
Codes refresh every 30 seconds. If one doesn't work, wait for the next one and try again.
Option B: Apple Passwords
Best for: iPhone, iPad, or Mac users who want MFA built directly into their device — no extra app needed.
Apple Passwords (previously part of iCloud Keychain) can generate one-time codes alongside your saved passwords.
Setup on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings → Passwords (or open the Passwords app if you're on iOS 18+)
Find your saved entry for the Chariot Payments Dashboard — or tap + to create one if it's not saved yet
Tap Edit, then scroll down to Verification Codes and tap Set Up Verification Code
Select Scan QR Code and point your camera at the QR code on your Payments Dashboard screen
Apple Passwords will confirm the code is linked. Tap Save.
Back on the dashboard, tap the verification code field — Apple will suggest the current code via AutoFill. Enter it and click Verify.
Setup on Mac
Open the Passwords app (macOS 15+) or go to System Settings → Passwords
Find or create your entry for the Chariot Payments Dashboard
Click Edit, then look for Verification Code and select Set Up…
Choose Enter Setup Key if you can't scan a QR code directly, or use your iPhone camera as described above
Enter the code shown in Passwords and click Verify on the dashboard
Logging In Going Forward
Go to chariotmove.payments-dashboard.com/Login and enter your credentials
When the MFA prompt appears, open Settings → Passwords (or the Passwords app)
Tap your Chariot Payments entry — the current verification code is displayed at the top
Enter the code and tap Verify
On iPhone, AutoFill will often surface the code automatically in the keyboard toolbar — just tap it.
Option C: Google Password Manager
Best for: Chrome users or anyone who already saves passwords in their Google Account.
Google Password Manager (built into Chrome and Android) can store and generate TOTP verification codes alongside your saved passwords.
Setup in Chrome (Desktop)
In Chrome, go to passwords.google.com or click your profile picture → Manage your Google Account → Security → Password Manager
Find your saved entry for the Chariot Payments Dashboard (or add one by saving your credentials next time you log in)
Click the entry, then look for Add verification code or the authenticator/QR option
Select Scan QR code — Chrome will prompt you to use your phone's camera or a connected device
Follow the on-screen steps to scan the QR code from your Payments Dashboard
Once linked, Chrome will autofill your verification code when you log into the dashboard
Setup on Android
Open Chrome and navigate to passwords.google.com, or open Settings → Passwords
Find your Chariot Payments entry and tap Edit
Tap Add verification code and select Scan QR code
Point your camera at the QR code on your Payments Dashboard screen
The code is linked — tap Save
Enter the current 6-digit code on the dashboard to confirm and click Verify
Logging In Going Forward
Go to chariotmove.payments-dashboard.com/Login and enter your email and password
When the MFA prompt appears, Chrome may autofill the code automatically
If not, go to passwords.google.com, open your Chariot Payments entry, and copy the current code
Enter the code and click Verify
Troubleshooting
I haven't received the code. Refresh your device's network by toggling Airplane Mode on/off. You should receive the code immediately after disabling Airplane Mode.
Alternatively, make sure your phone's clock is set to update automatically (Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically on iPhone; Settings → System → Date & Time on Android). MFA codes are time-sensitive — if your device clock is off even by a minute, codes will fail.
I lost access to my authenticator app. Contact Chariot support at support@chariotmove.com so we can help reset MFA on your account.
I don't see an MFA option in my account settings. MFA may need to be enabled by your account administrator. Reach out to whoever manages your Chariot Payments Dashboard account, or contact us at support@chariotmove.com and we'll get it sorted.
I set up MFA but I'm not being prompted for a code. Try logging out completely, clearing your browser cache, and logging back in. If the issue persists, contact support.
