How to Enable ACH Payments for Customers

Turn on ACH so customers can pay via bank transfer on invoices and payment links. It takes about 30 seconds in Settings.

Enabling ACH payments for your customers is a self-serve setting — no need to contact support. Here's how to turn it on.

How to enable it

  1. Go to Settings > Payment and Billing Settings

  2. Check the box that says Allow customers to pay via ACH

  3. Save your changes

That's it. Once enabled, customers will see an ACH option alongside card when paying through a payment link or invoice.

ACH processing fees

ACH costs 1% per transaction, capped at $10 — significantly less than the 3.0% + $0.30 for card payments. It's a good option for larger jobs where card fees add up.

One thing to know about ACH timing

ACH takes longer to settle than cards. Chariot waits 4 business days to confirm the transfer before depositing funds into your account. If you're collecting a deposit close to the move date, card may be the safer option to ensure you have the funds in time.

See ACH Payments in Chariot for a full breakdown of how ACH works, including reversal scenarios.
