In these Terms, "npay", "we", "us" and "our" mean npay Inc. nsave card services are provided by npay Inc. in partnership with licensed card issuers.
1. The benefit
1.1 Under this benefit (the "Cashback"), an Eligible Member who pays with their nsave card earns cashback on Eligible Purchases at these rates:
Plan | Cashback rate | Monthly cap |
Pro | 0.5% of all Eligible Spend | None |
Prestige | 1% of the first $5,000 of Eligible Spend in each calendar month, then 0.5% of Eligible Spend above $5,000 in that month | None |
Note: Cashback is available only on the nsave card, and only to members on a paid Pro or Prestige plan.
1.2 The Cashback starts on Monday, 2 November 2026 and continues for as long as it is offered with the Pro and Prestige plans. We may change or end it at our discretion (see section 9).
2. Who can take part
2.1 An "Eligible Member" is a person who:
(a) holds an nsave account in good standing;
(b) holds an active nsave card; and
(c) is subscribed to, and paying for, the Pro or Prestige plan.
2.2 Members on the Essential plan, or on a free or complimentary version of Pro (for example a free Pro trial or a friends-and-family plan), do not earn Cashback.
3. What counts as an eligible purchase
3.1 An "Eligible Purchase" is a purchase made with the Eligible Member's nsave card that has settled. A purchase that is only authorised or pending does not earn Cashback until it settles.
3.2 A purchase earns Cashback only if its settled amount is more than $1.00. Purchases of $1.00 or less do not earn Cashback.
3.3 These transactions are not Eligible Purchases:
(a) ATM and over-the-counter cash withdrawals;
(b) quasi-cash transactions, including money orders, travellers' cheques, foreign currency and cryptocurrency purchases;
(c) loading or topping up prepaid, stored-value or gift cards and digital wallets;
(d) money transfers and payments to other financial institutions;
(e) payments to securities brokers and investment platforms;
(f) gambling, betting, lotteries and horse or dog racing; and
(g) tax payments to government bodies.
3.4 Payments to nsave itself, including plan fees and card fees, are not Eligible Purchases.
3.5 We classify a purchase using the merchant category code and merchant name that the merchant and the card network give us. We are not responsible if a merchant is classified in a way that means a purchase does not earn Cashback.
3.6 "Eligible Spend" is the total settled US dollar amount of Eligible Purchases.
4. How Cashback is calculated
4.1 Cashback is worked out on each Eligible Purchase when it settles, and rounded to the nearest cent (half a cent rounds up).
4.2 A calendar month runs from 00:00 UTC on the 1st to 23:59 UTC on the last day of the month. A purchase counts in the month in which it settles.
4.3 The plan that applies to a purchase is the plan the Eligible Member held when the purchase was authorised. If the merchant charged the card without an authorisation, the plan held when the purchase settled applies.
4.4 For Prestige, the $5,000 threshold applies to all Eligible Spend settled in the calendar month, including Eligible Spend made on the Pro plan earlier in the same month. A purchase that takes the month's Eligible Spend over $5,000 is split. The part up to $5,000 earns 1% and the rest earns 0.5%. For example, a $200 purchase when $4,900 has already been spent that month earns $1.00 + $0.50 = $1.50.
4.5 Refunds do not reduce the month's Eligible Spend for the purpose of the $5,000 threshold.
5. Refunds and chargebacks
5.1 If an Eligible Purchase is refunded in full or in part, we will take back the Cashback on the refunded amount at the rate the purchase earned.
5.2 If an Eligible Purchase is reversed through a successful dispute or chargeback, we will take back the Cashback on it once the credit reaches the Eligible Member's account.
5.3 If the Cashback on a refunded purchase has already been paid, we will deduct it from Cashback earned in later months until it has been recovered. If the Eligible Member leaves the Pro and Prestige plans before it has been recovered, we may deduct any amount still outstanding from their nsave account balance.
6. How and when Cashback is paid
6.1 We pay Cashback in US dollars into the Eligible Member's main nsave USD account. It is shown in the app as a cashback transaction.
6.2 We pay Cashback daily, normally from 06:00 UTC. Each payment covers Cashback earned on purchases that have settled since the last payment.
6.3 If the Cashback owed is less than $1.00, we carry it over to the next payment.
6.4 We may delay a payment while we check a transaction or an account.
7. If your plan or account changes
7.1 If an Eligible Member moves from Pro or Prestige to a plan that does not earn Cashback, they stop earning Cashback on purchases authorised after the change. They keep, and we will pay, any Cashback already earned.
7.2 If an Eligible Member moves between Pro and Prestige, each purchase earns at the rate of the plan held when it was authorised (see section 4.3).
7.3 If an Eligible Member's nsave account is closed, any Cashback not yet paid at the time of closure is forfeited and will not be paid, even if the account is later reopened.
8. No cash alternative and fair use
8.1 Cashback cannot be exchanged for any other product and cannot be transferred to another person.
8.2 We may withhold, cancel or reverse Cashback for any person that we reasonably believe has:
(a) made purchases only to earn Cashback and then reversed them, or bought cash equivalents to earn Cashback;
(b) given false or misleading information; or
(c) breached the nsave account terms or the card terms.
8.3 We may recover any Cashback we have paid that was not earned under these Terms, including because of a refund, chargeback, error or anything described in section 8.2. We may do this by deducting it from any Cashback owed now or later, or from the balance of the Eligible Member's nsave account.
9. Changes
9.1 We may change the Cashback rates, the $5,000 threshold, the list of excluded transactions, the minimum purchase amount or the payment schedule, or suspend or end the Cashback, at any time and for any reason. We will give notice on our T&Cs page and, where reasonable, by email or in the app. Changes take effect when they are posted on our T&Cs page, unless we say otherwise. Cashback already earned before a change will still be paid under the terms that applied when it was earned.
10. Disclaimer
The Cashback in these Terms is offered, operated and funded exclusively by npay Inc. ("npay"), which provides nsave card services in partnership with licensed card issuers. npay provides it as an independent benefit to nsave cardholders. The card-issuing bank or financial institution that issues the Card (the "Card Issuer") does not sponsor, administer, endorse, or guarantee the Cashback. The Card Issuer has no obligation or liability of any kind in connection with it. Any dispute or claim about the Cashback must be directed solely to npay at support@nsave.com. Your Card account terms and conditions are governed by a separate agreement with the Card Issuer and continue to apply independently of these Terms.
