Sometimes, if you're having issues updating via the usual methods, it may be necessary to use a secondary method to update.
This method updates you to the newest, stable version of Firmware 4, it will not work on Firmware 3 devices.
Please follow the instructions below closely, as pressing the wrong button can result in your device being unusable
Step 1) Make sure your device is able to connect to the Internet.
Make sure your device is able to connect to the internet, if not configure it via the Onboarding App.
Step 2) Enter Safe mode.
On the Handy 2
Power the device off
Press and Hold the Action Button for 15 seconds
You should see a Yellow LED, you can release the Action button now
On the Handy 1
Power off the device
Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for 2 seconds.
Power the device on
Wait for Yellow LED before releasing Wi-Fi button.
Step 3) Attempt to install the Firmware.
Once you're in Safe mode, you have a few options.
Pressing UP
Upgrades your Firmware to the newest one in the stable branch.Pressing DOWN
Downgrade to FW 3 (Only in Handy 1)Pressing RIGHT
Revert to the previous Firmware version you were on.Pressing ON, wait 1 second
Once you wait, you can configure the boot mode of your device in Firmware 4.UP = Wi-Fi
RIGHT = Bluetooth
DOWN = Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
LEFT = Legacy Bluetooth.
