How to check and adjust your Synchronization
How to check and adjust your Synchronization
Updated over a week ago

Because our devices use Wi-Fi to communicate with other devices and synchronize content, some times there will be delays in the communication of the device and you will need to adjust the synchronization. As such, let's take at the methods you have for testing and adjusting your device's synchronization.

Control Panel

The first method is by using the Control Panel available to you once you connect your device or when you click on Connected on the top right of the page.

In the case of the Handy, you can find a Sync adjustment section on the far left side of the panel, this is where you can set a offset value to try and adjusting for your latency.

The very middle of the bar is 0ms, going left is going to add negative offset, making it move early, meanwhile going right is going to add offset, making it play later.

You can also find a the Client latency and the Device latency so you can quickly find where you should be adjusting your offset.

The Resync button will update the device and client latency so you can better configure your synchronization.

In the case of the Oh! you will be able to find the same settings, only difference is that you can't adjust stroke length as the Oh! does not have use for the adjustment.

For precise adjustments, click on the circle and hold, you should be able to see exactly what that position on the slider will translate to once you let go of your click.

Synchronization Page

In both control Panels you can find a button called Sync test, this will open a new page where you can playback a video with a script to test your current synchronization.

You can loop the video and also see a simulator that showcases what your device should be doing in regards to movement and the position.

Below the latency displays, you can find a button setup the script again, if necessary and a slider similar to the control panel where you can adjust your stroke length.

You can also access this page on the Configure Device window.
