The theme editor lets you match your Storefront to your brand — set your colours once and they flow across your whole site, or fine-tune individual sections.
Opening the editor
Go to Online Store → Theme in the sidebar, or Settings → Storefront theme. Changes you make here apply to your live Storefront once you save.
Start with a preset
The quickest way to begin. Pick a preset that's close to your brand, then fine-tune from there. Applying a preset replaces your current colours, and a Custom badge appears once you start editing so you always know you've moved away from the original.
Set your brand colours
The Brand tab is where most themes only need a few changes. These are your core colours, and they cascade through your entire Storefront:
Primary – your main brand colour (homepage intro, headers)
Action – buttons and links
Dark / Light – your text and background neutrals
Page background – the base colour behind everything
Change one here and it updates everywhere it's used — no need to edit each section.
Style options
On the Brand tab you can also toggle:
Rounded corners – rounded edges on buttons and cards
Card shadows – soft shadows behind cards
Fine-tune individual sections
Need more control? The Components tab lets you override the colours of specific parts — navigation, hero, footer, and more — grouped by area. Each section shows its main colours first; select Show more for the rest.
Preview and save
The Live preview on the right updates as you edit, so you can see your changes before committing. When you're happy, select Save Theme — then use view on Storefront to see it on your website.
