Default Settings for Leagues and Events: (Customer Center > Customer Settings > Default Settings for Leagues and Events) These are your customer-level settings. Any event or league you create will have these settings applied. Any changes to these settings will not apply to events and leagues already created. Click Here for details.
Event/League Profile: (League/Event > League/Event Profile) These settings are accessed and applied to specific events and leagues. When creating a new event or league, the settings are cloned from the Default Settings in your Customer Center. Click Here for details.
Round Profile: (Rounds > Round Profile) These settings are applied to a specific round within an event or league. They are cloned from the Event/League Profile. Click Here for details.
In summary, your Default Settings propagate to the Event/League Profile of all your events and leagues which also propagate further to all of the rounds within that league or event.
Handicap Method:
This section highlights the handicap method that you are using. The two available systems are World Handicap System or USGA Handicap System (pre 2020). These methods cannot be changed.
Multiple Tees with Different Pars:
If multiple tees are played with different pars, how are Playing Handicaps computed? Click Here for a detailed article on managing this option.
Player Handicap Indexes:
Players can maintain 9-hole Handicap Indexes, 18-hole Handicap Indexes, or both. Simply put, what type of Handicap Index would you like to retrieve from your handicap service provider? For more details on managing Playing Handicaps and Handicap Indexes, Click Here.
Handicap Index Service:
There are a variety of handicap service providers that we integrate with that will allow you to retrieve and update Handicap Indexes. You can also select that you do not use a handicap service (In this case, you would likely update Handicap Indexes via spreadsheet). Click on any of the following links to learn more about the process from each provider.

Note 1: If your club is affiliated with GHIN or WHS, you will have the additional option to update Handicap Indexes daily in the Master Roster at a specific time of the day. Click Here for details on how to allow your master roster to update player indexes daily.
Note 2: If your club is affiliated with Golf Canada, select GolfNet. When uploading your players, their Golf Canada Network IDs will be considered their GolfNet IDs.
Score Posting Service:
Some handicap service providers permit the option to post scores back to their database. Click on any of the following links to learn more about the process from each provider:
Posting Scores to GHIN
Posting Scores to GolfNet
Posting Scores to UK WHS
Posting Scores to HandicapMaster
Posting Scores to GOLF Link
Posting Scores to CDGA
Regardless of the selected option, you will have the ability to choose between "Post scores to..." and "Do not pose scores" (as shown below).
Score Posting (Round Profile Only) (UK WHS Customers Only):
With the WHS, score intents should not be generated for rounds in which scores would not be posted to WHS (i.e., non-acceptable rounds). For each round within an event/league, you can define if the round is Acceptable or Non-Acceptable (as shown below). By setting a round to Acceptable or Non-Acceptable, you confirm whether the scores from this round will be posted to WHS or not.
If you have selected the round as Acceptable, you can also allow scores to be automatically posted at the end of the round date. For more details about automatic score posting, Click Here. Note: Score posting is only possible if there is a tournament set and the round is set to "Acceptable."
Note: If you need to disable auto score posting for all future rounds, and subsequently mark future rounds as "Non-Acceptable" you can set the event level "Score Posting Service" to "Do not post scores." To do this, go to Event/League > Event/League Profile > Handicap Settings > Score Posting Service, and set the drop down to "Do not post scores."
Handicap Allowance Rounding:
When Handicap Allowances are used to compute a Playing Handicap, sometimes a Playing Handicap is stuck at .5 before rounding. The USGA Standard is to round up. If you would like to round down, select the other option.
Accessing GHIN/WHS/ETC. to Update Handicap Indexes (Round Profile Only):
Handicap Indexes are updated under the Golfers Menu. When doing this, all future rounds will also update with the new Handicap Indexes. However, if you turn off this switch, you are electing not to allow Handicap Indexes to be updated for this round. This feature is available when using any of our handicap service providers. Click Here for details.
Notes: This only applies when managers initiate updates to player Handicap Index from their Handicap provider (Manually navigating to Golfers > Access "Handicap Service Provider (GHIN/WHS/ETC.)" to Update Handicap Index. This does not work when:
Course Handicaps:
If the Front 9/Back 9 Slope and Course Ratings have been entered in your Course Details, you can choose to stroke the card using either 18-hole or 9-hole Playing Handicaps. To determine if you are using the 18 or 9 hole Playing Handicap, pick one of the available options:
Always use an 18-hole scorecard, if appropriate; or
Use a 9-hole scorecard if 9 Slope/Rating is provided.
Depending on the method selected, that will determine the Playing Handicap and strokes for the tournament. Click Here for more details on handicapping 9-Hole tournaments.
If your tournament is played on a subset of holes (e.g., Holes 6-14), you can choose to stroke the tournament based on the entire scorecard (All 18 Holes), or calculate a playing handicap for the subset of holes played, by choosing one of the available options:
Allocate strokes for the subset of holes played; or,
Allocate strokes based on the full card Stroke Index Allocation.
If nine-hole matches are being played, do you use half strokes? This is a popular selection for Member-Guest Invitationals and Round Robin leagues. For more information on half strokes, Click Here.
If you are running an amateur stoke play event, do all of your players have Handicap Indexes? If not and you would like to handicap those players that do not have an index, you can enable Day Handicapping for players that do not have a Handicap Index. Once enabled, select the day handicap method you wish to use (i.e., System 36, Callaway 15/16, Peoria). For more details on same-day handicapping, Click Here.
Maximum Handicap Index & Playing Handicap:
Competitions often apply maximum Playing Handicaps or Handicap Indexes. When doing so players who have Playing Handicaps or Handicap Indexes that exceed the maximum, are reduced to the maximum allowable Playing Handicap/Handicap Index. You can apply these maximum settings here. If gender is set in your roster, then you can even apply maximums by gender.
