An Instories subscription can be bought in three places: the App Store, Google Play, or our website instories.com (including links from ads). Each one is managed separately, so a website subscription never appears in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
Step 1. Check how the charge looks on your bank statement
APPLE.COM/BILL — the subscription was bought in the App Store.
Google — the subscription was bought in Google Play.
Instories (for example, INSTORIES VIDEO EDITOR or INSTORIES* TRIAL OVER), or a receipt email from Stripe — the subscription was bought on our website.
Step 2. If it’s an App Store purchase
Make sure you’re signed in with the Apple ID that was used for the payment. Subscriptions from another Apple ID won’t show up on your device.
Open https://subscriptions.instories.com/ to see your App Store subscriptions, and https://purchases.instories.com/ to see your purchase history.
If the subscription is shown as cancelled with an end date, auto-renewal is already off and you won’t be charged again.
For Google Play, check that you’re using the right Google account: Play Store → profile icon → Payments and Subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Step 3. If it’s a website purchase
Cancel it on instories.com — see the article “How do I cancel a subscription bought on the Instories website?”. Refunds for website purchases are handled by the Instories team, not by Apple or Google.
Still can’t find it? Message us in the chat and send:
a screenshot of the charge on your bank statement (date, amount and merchant name);
the email you used at checkout, if you remember it;
the last 4 digits of the card that was charged.
👉 Please Note: Never send your full card number. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription.
