Setting Up Ad Preferences in Cuttable

Configure the default styles and settings Cuttable applies automatically when generating your ads.

Written by Libby

Summary
Ad Preferences, found in Settings, control defaults that apply across all ads Cuttable generates: whether Terms & Conditions text appears, which ad styles (Ugly, Native, Digital Interface) get generated, whether logos are included, and whether audio is avoided by default.

How to open Ad Preferences

  1. Click Settings at the bottom left of your page, next to your initials.

  2. Select the Ad Preferences tab.

\n

Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions controls whether Cuttable displays Terms & Conditions text at the bottom of your ads by default. If you select All of my ads or Only on Sales Event Ads, you will be able to add a custom disclaimer or Terms & Conditions.

\n

Choose one of three options:

  • None of my ads displays no Terms & Conditions text by default.

  • All of my ads displays Terms & Conditions text on every ad.

  • Only on Sales Event Ads displays Terms & Conditions text only on ads flagged as Sales Event ads.

Ugly Ads

Ugly Ads are deliberately unpolished ads that embrace rough, DIY aesthetics. Their intentionally low-fidelity look creates authenticity and breaks through polished advertising patterns, making viewers pause and pay attention. Choose Generate Ugly ads to include this style when Cuttable generates ads, or Don't generate Ugly ads to exclude it.

\n

Native Ads

Native Ads are designed to blend seamlessly into platform feeds by mimicking user-generated content. They adopt platform-native fonts and video styles, and the audience's natural tone of voice, so they feel like organic content rather than advertising. Choose Generate Native ads to include this style, or Don't generate Native ads to exclude it.

\n

Digital Interface Ads

Digital Interface Ads mimic familiar app and device UI elements, such as notifications, chat bubbles, system prompts, or app screens. By borrowing these recognizable digital patterns, they create instant familiarity while disrupting expectations about what an ad looks like. Choose Generate Digital Interface ads to include this style, or Don't generate Digital Interface ads to exclude it.

Logo Usage in Ads

Logo Usage in Ads controls whether your logo is included in ads by default. Choose Include logos in ads to add your logo automatically, or Don't include logos in ads to leave it out. See Using logos in your ads for how to manage logos on individual ads.

Prefer No Audio

Prefer No Audio is a toggle. When enabled, Cuttable prefers ad templates without audio when generating your ads. This sets no music as your account-wide default. To turn off music for a single brief instead, or to remove music from an ad you have already made, see Managing music for your ads in Cuttable.
