Payments are identified in Hauler Hero, not only by their Payment ID but also by the Batch Number.
The first 8 digits of the batch number are the date of the transaction
i.e. 20251016 (October 16 2025)
If the payment was initiated by the customer through their Customer Portal, the batch number will read PORTAL after the date
If the payment was initiated by Autopay, the batch number will read AutoPay after the date
If the payment was initiated by an employee, the batch number will have the first and last name initials after the date
This information is also available within the customer profile, in the payments section of the billing tab.
