How do I invite or re-invite employees who haven't joined Jolly yet?

Using the Adoption column and Resend invitation on the Contacts page to reach contacts who were invited but never activated.

For: Owners, Managers

Intelligence tells you what share of your people use Jolly. The Contacts page tells you who doesn't - and lets you text them an invitation to get started and claim their welcome bonus.

The Adoption column

Every contact carries an adoption badge:

  • Active - they've claimed points at least once.

  • Pending - they've been sent points but haven't claimed yet. These are the people to nudge.

  • Not invited - there's nothing for them to claim yet, because they aren't enrolled or haven't been sent points.

Hover above a Not invited badge and Jolly names the specific reason - not enrolled, no points received yet, and for organizations using an adoption campaign, a missing or invalid phone number, a missing location, or no qualifying earnings yet. Those last ones are data you can fix.

This uses the same formula as Intelligence, so the two pages can't disagree for your organization. See How do I read the Intelligence tab (Adoption and Surveys)? for the definition.

Finding who to nudge

  • Open the Filters menu on Contacts and choose Adoption, then Pending. It combines with your existing membership, contact-field and group filters. You can pick one status at a time.

  • Open any contact to see First points issued and First claim dates, so you can tell how long someone has been sitting pending.

  • You can also sort the table by Unclaimed Points to find the people with the most sitting there unclaimed.

Sending the invitation

  1. On a pending contact's row, open the ... menu and choose Resend invitation. To do several at once, select them with the checkboxes and use the bulk action, or use the invite-all-pending action to cover everyone.

  2. A confirmation window opens before anything is sent. It lists Recipients - who will actually be messaged - and Excluded, with the reason for each person being skipped.

  3. Choose Send as: your organization, which suits a company-wide reminder, or yourself as the admin, which suits nudging your own direct reports. The choice changes how the message signs off, and you can see it in the SMS preview.

  4. Tick the acknowledgement confirming the chosen sender is responsible for the messages and that Jolly sends them on their behalf. Send stays disabled until you do.

  5. Click Send. A summary tells you the outcome for each contact.

What the outcomes mean

  • Sent - the invitation is queued for delivery.

  • Skipped, cooldown - they were already re-invited recently.

  • Skipped, not eligible - they're no longer pending.

  • Skipped, no phone - there's no phone number on file. Add one and try again.

  • Skipped, unreachable - suppressed because they've opted out of texts, or a rate limit was hit. This is never counted as sent.

  • Failed - the send errored and nothing happened. Try again.

Good to know

  • Jolly checks who's actually reachable before sending and skips anyone who already signed up, has no phone number, opted out, or was contacted recently.

  • A bulk send only messages the pending contacts in your selection - the rest are skipped and reported back.

  • Bulk sends are capped at 100 contacts per request.

  • The Resend invitation action only appears for admins whose role has the resend permission.
