Paid but your subscription, mailboxes or domains aren't showing (0 / 0)? What to check, in order

If you paid but the dashboard shows 0 mailboxes / 0 domains, still asks you to purchase, greys out Connect existing domains, or the API says "Domain limit exceeded. Current: 0, Limit: 0" — the checks in order and what to send us.

What you are seeing

You completed a purchase, but when you open app.maildoso.com your dashboard shows 0 mailboxes / 0 domains, still asks you to purchase, you hit a "subscription error" at checkout, or the Domains page won't let you add, select or register any domains. Your payment is not lost — this usually means it didn't link to your account automatically, and we can fix it quickly. Work through the checks below in order; the first three explain almost every case.

1. Are you logged in with the same email you paid with?

This is the most common cause by far. If the email on your Stripe receipt differs from the email you're logged in with (a different Google account, a colleague's email, a typo at checkout, or you signed up again after paying), the subscription sits on a separate account record and the dashboard you're looking at is genuinely empty. Compare the receipt email and your login email; if they differ, contact us from the email you paid with — see Moving a payment to the right account below.

2. Does the subscription show on your Billing page?

Open Billing in the left menu. If there's no active subscription there, the payment hasn't been attached to this account yet — contact us with the receipt. If the subscription is there but shows Past due or Canceled, a payment retry failed; update the payment method with Manage or contact us.

3. Does your plan include domains?

Some plans include mailboxes only. If Billing shows an active mailbox plan but the Domains page shows 0 and you can't register domains, your plan has no domain slots — add domains in Packages & Add-ons (left menu), or connect domains you already own. If your plan does include domains and the Domains page still shows 0, the domain slots from your order just need to be attached — contact us; there's no extra charge for completing your order.

"Connect existing domains" greyed out with "Available after subscription"? If you've paid for a plan to use your own domains, this is the same provisioning issue — your plan hasn't been applied on our side yet. You don't need to buy anything to unlock it; contact us and we'll apply your quota.

4. Did you buy in the last few hours? Provisioning may still be running

Right after checkout, slots and domains can take a little while to attach. Refresh after a few minutes; if it's still empty after an hour, contact us with the receipt number — most provisioning delays clear within 24 hours, but flagging it lets us check the queue for your order directly.

"Domain limit exceeded. Current: 0, Limit: 0" in the API

If you add external domains through the API and get this error, your request is fine — it's the same root cause seen through the API: no domain capacity is attached to the account (it didn't finish linking after checkout, or the plan is mailboxes-only). Check whether the Domains page also shows 0 available, confirm your plan includes domains, and contact us with your account email and receipt reference. Once capacity is attached, retry the call.

If Current and Limit show real numbers that match your plan but you still can't add domains, you're at or over your limit:

  • delete domains you no longer need, or buy more domain slots in Packages & Add-ons — new slots first cover any over-limit count before they become available for new domains (see What does the "Overlimit" badge mean?);

  • check for domains in Awaiting Renewal — they still count against your domain limit even though they aren't usable. Contact us with the domain names (especially any close to expiry) and we'll complete or free up those renewals.

5. Rare: your network is blocking our backend

Occasionally an internet provider or corporate network blocks connections to our backend, api.maildoso.com. The dashboard then can't fetch your data and shows zeros even though everything exists. The tell-tale signs are that every page shows empty data, the browser console shows HTTP 503 or TLS handshake errors, and the same account looks fine on another network. To test, open the dashboard on a different network (a mobile hotspot) or through a VPN. If the data appears, it was a connection issue on your network side; if you manage your own network you can allow api.maildoso.com (IP 167.235.31.207). If the dashboard is still empty on another network, go back to checks 1–4 and contact us.

Moving a payment or subscription to the right account

If you paid with a different email than your Maildoso login, contact us from the email you paid with and tell us which login should own the subscription. For security we verify ownership with the last four digits of the card used for the payment (and the current login email). The relink is usually done within the hour. The same verification applies when you ask us to change your login email or move a subscription between two of your accounts.

If you were charged twice

If you ended up with more than one charge or overlapping plans (for example because checkout was retried after a "subscription error"), let us know — we'll make sure the correct plan is active and sort out the duplicate charge, either as account credit toward your next payment or, if you prefer, a refund of the extra charge. See also Invoices and receipts.

Still not showing up?

Contact us in the chat and include: the email you used to pay, the email you log in with, your receipt or invoice number, and which plan you bought. With those details we can confirm where the subscription is and attach it to the correct account. If your account used to show mailboxes and they've disappeared, see Why are my mailboxes or domains suddenly disconnected, inactive, or missing?
