📄 Proof of Address (POA) — Updated Guidelines

What does the document need to show?

Your Proof of Address (POA) document must include:

Your full name
Your current residential address
Date of issue (within the last 6 months, unless it’s a valid national ID with an address)

Important: Address Must Match Exactly

To verify your address, the address you enter in the app must match exactly the address shown on the document you upload.

It does not need to match what you previously wrote in your profile.
It only needs to match the document you are submitting now.
Write the address in English, using phonetic spelling, not translation.

Once the address matches exactly (same spelling, same order, same details), the system should accept it.

🌍 Country-specific guide: What to upload in your country

Country	What works best	Instructions
🇳🇬 Nigeria	National Identification Number (NIN)	You can enter your NIN. If you do not have access to your NIN, you can submit a standard proof of address document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🇪🇬 Egypt	National ID card or criminal record (سجل جنائي فيش وتشبيه)	Upload both sides of the National ID showing your address, or submit a recent official criminal record certificate issued by the government. If neither is available, you can submit a standard POA document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🇧🇩 Bangladesh	National ID (NID) or NID number	You can either enter your NID number or upload a National ID card showing your address. If neither is available, you can submit a standard proof of address document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🇵🇰 Pakistan	Computerized National ID Card (CNID)	You may use a National ID card (CNIC) showing your address, a bank statement, or a utility bill. Ensure documents are dated within the last 3 months unless otherwise stated. Rental agreements are also accepted if dated within the last 12 months. If your CNIC lacks a Machine Readable Zone (MRZ), a passport with MRZ is acceptable.
🇲🇦 Morocco	National ID card	Upload a National ID card showing your address. If unavailable, you can submit a standard proof of address document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🇦🇪 UAE	Tenancy contract (Ejari)	You can submit any standard proof of address document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia	Government-issued proof of address document	You can request an official government issued proof of address document here or you can submit a standard proof of address document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🇹🇷 Turkey	Government-issued proof of address document	You can request an official government issued proof of address document here or you can submit a standard proof of address document (utility bill, bank statement, etc.).
🌐 Other countries	Bank statement, utility bill (electricity, water, gas, etc.), lease or rental agreement, mortgage statement, etc.	Just make sure the document is official and that your address is visible and legible.

Can I use a digital utility bill? Yes, if it meets all criteria.
Why is my document pending? It’s under review — please allow some time.
Why was my ID marked outdated? Sometimes the system misreads formatting. Press Continue anyway and an analyst will review it.
Can I use a P.O. Box? No — only physical residential addresses are accepted.
What if I don’t have a utility bill? You can use a bank statement, phone bill, rental agreement, or other official documents.
