Summary
Evidence includes the signs of pest activity your technician finds and documents at a stop — droppings, dead or live pests, bait consumption, and so on. Defining your evidence types here gives techs a consistent set of options in the mobile app, which keeps your records and reports reliable.
Key Points
Create an evidence type for each kind of finding that your techs need to record
Give each one a short, unambiguous abbreviation for clean reports and tickets
Techs select these on the mobile app while servicing a stop
Consistent options make your device records, reporting, and audits more reliable
How to Get to Evidence
From the top of the Navigation menu, click on Settings (gear icon)
Under Device & Trap Settings, click on Evidence
How to Create an Evidence Type
Click the New Evidence button in the upper right.
Enter the Evidence Name (what the tech will see and select)
Enter an Abbreviation (the short code used in logs and reports)
Click the green Create Evidence button to save
Choosing Good Evidence Types
A few tips for a list that's easy to use in the field:
Keep names specific. "Droppings (Mouse)" is clearer than just "Droppings" when you're reviewing records later.
Use a consistent abbreviation style so that codes are predictable throughout your list.
Match your reporting and audit needs. Only create the distinctions you actually report on — too many near-identical options slow techs down and muddy your data.
Examples
Common evidence types include:
Activity (Dead Insects)
Activity (Dead Rodents)
Activity (Live Insects)
Activity (Live Rodents)
Bait Consumed 25%
Bait Consumed 50%
Bait Consumed 75%
Bait Consumed 100%

Important Note: Anytime you change something in Settings, your techs must Reload Data in the mobile app to see the change.
