Logging Into the Tablet

Step 1: Open the Hauler Hero App

  1. Turn on the tablet

  2. Open:

    • Hauler Hero

Step 2: Enter Login Credentials

Use:

  • Your assigned email

  • Your password

Important Notes

  • Each driver should ideally have their own login

  • Once logged in, the tablet usually stays logged in unless manually logged out

Main Tablet Screen Overview

After logging in, the main screen displays:

  • User profile/settings

  • Routes

  • Trucks

  • Fuel tracking

  • Disposal tracking

  • Sync buttons

  • Route totals

Tablet Settings

Opening Settings

  1. Tap your initials in the top-left corner

  2. This opens:

    • User Settings

Recommended Driver Settings

Font Size

Drivers can choose:

  • Small font

  • Large font

Recommendation

Use larger fonts if:

  • Driving

  • Using gloves

  • Working in bright sunlight

Shrink Route List

This controls how route cards display.

Options

  • ON = Route cards shrink as stops are completed

  • OFF = Larger cards remain visible

Follow Me Setting (Highly Recommended)

What It Does

Follow Me records the order a driver actually runs the route.

This allows dispatchers to:

  • Export the sequence

  • Save improved routing patterns

  • Rebuild routes based on real-world driver experience

Example

If a driver changes the order because:

  • Roads are easier

  • Traffic flows better

  • One side of town is faster

The dispatcher can permanently update the route later.

Recommendation

✔ Leave Follow Me ON at all times

Autocomplete Settings

Autocomplete automatically completes stops when the truck reaches the service location.

Autocomplete ON vs OFF

ON

  • Stops complete automatically

  • Less tablet interaction while driving

OFF

  • Driver manually completes every stop

Recommended Autocomplete Setup

Setting

Recommended

Autocomplete

ON

Radius

30–100 feet

Right-Side Only

Depends on truck type

Timer

15–25 seconds

Max Speed

3–5 MPH

Right-Side Autocomplete

Turn ON if:

  • Using side-load trucks

  • Servicing only from one side

Leave OFF if:

  • Using rear-load trucks

  • Throwers service both sides

Autocomplete Timer

The timer gives drivers time to mark exceptions before a stop auto-completes.

Example

If a cart is not out:

  • Driver taps the red X before timer finishes

Maximum Speed Setting

This determines the maximum speed allowed before a stop auto-completes.

Recommendation

Set:

  • 3–5 MPH

This prevents issues caused by:

  • Truck vibration

  • GPS drift

  • Tablet movement

Changing Route Dates

Drivers can change the working date to:

  • View future routes

  • Run ahead

  • Review previous routes

Example

A driver finishes early Wednesday and wants to run Thursday’s route.

Night Mode / Dark Mode

Drivers can choose:

  • Light screen

  • Dark screen

Purely personal preference.

Syncing the Tablet

There are TWO sync options.

Full Application Sync (Orange Button)

Purpose

Downloads the full route for offline use.

Use when:

  • Entering low-service areas

  • Working in rural locations

What Works Offline

Drivers can still:
✔ Complete stops
✔ Add notes
✔ Take photos
✔ Record exceptions

When cell service returns:

  • Sync pushes updates back to the system

Quick Sync (Blue Button)

Purpose

Refreshes route updates during the day.

Use when dispatch:

  • Adds emergency stops

  • Changes route order

  • Adds customers

  • Updates sequencing

Understanding Service Information

Drivers can view:

  • Container size

  • Material type

  • Service day

  • Quantity

  • Work order number

Work Order Numbers

Every stop has a work order number.

Important

If calling dispatch/support:

  • Provide the work order number first

This helps staff locate the account quickly.

Completing Stops

Green Check Mark

Tap the green check mark to:

  • Mark the container serviced

If multiple containers exist:

  • Complete each individually

Once all containers are completed:

  • The tablet advances automatically to the next stop

Exceptions & Missed Pickups

Red X

Tap the red X if the stop cannot be serviced.

Common Exception Types

Examples:

  • Cart not out

  • Blocked by vehicle

  • Unsafe conditions

  • Access issue

Adjusting GPS Locations

If the cart location is wrong:

  1. Open exceptions

  2. Tap:

    • Adjust Location

  3. Move the pin

  4. Save

The corrected location is stored for future service.

Partial Service

If only some containers are serviced:

Example:

  • 2 serviced

  • 1 missed

The system records:

  • Which specific container was missed

Dispatch can then review the issue.

Fuel Tracking

Optional feature.

Drivers may record:

  • Odometer

  • Gallons added

  • Fuel receipt photos

Disposal Tracking

Coming soon.

Future functionality will allow:

  • Disposal tracking

  • Dump tickets

  • End-of-route disposal records

Especially useful for:

  • Roll-off services

Finalizing Routes

When finished:

  1. Tap:

    • Finalize Route

Unfinished Stops

If unfinished stops remain, drivers can:

Option 1 – Bulk Complete

Use if:

  • Stops were actually serviced

  • GPS/autocomplete missed them

Option 2 – Bulk Skip

Use if:

  • Stops were intentionally skipped

Option 3 – Leave Unfinished (Recommended)

Best option when:

  • Dispatch may move stops to the next day

This keeps rescheduling easier for dispatchers.
