When viewing stops in CRM, you can see a timeline that shows when a driver’s truck arrived at and left the stop, as well as what Auto-Complete did while it was there. It’s the quickest way to answer “was the driver there, and when?”
You’ll find it in various places: the Route Manager’s stop details drawer, the work order, and in Review. Times will show in your time zone.
Who is this article for?
Dispatchers, customer service reps, and office admins who need to check a driver’s visit to a particular stop. In this article, we’ll cover:
Where to find a stop’s timeline
What each row means
Why a timeline could look incomplete
Before we start
Your drivers will need to be on Hauler Hero Road v1.08.76 or later.
Auto-Complete rows will only appear if your drivers use Auto-Complete. This is setup in in the mobile app’s Settings section.
The Review timeline will only appear if your company uses Hero Vision.
Where can I see a stop’s timeline?
You can find this on:
Our new Stop Details drawer in the Route Manager Advanced Board view
When opening a stop via the Route Manager’s Advanced Map view
The Work Order Detail view under Location
Exceptions Review in a work order’s overview
Stops without events will not have a timeline to show.
What does each row mean?
A geofence is an invisible boundary around each container. Hauler Hero checks about once a second whether or not a truck is inside it.
Geofence entered -- The truck came within range of the container (or the stop's address, if the container has no location of its own).
Geofence exited -- The truck left that range and stayed out.
Auto-complete started -- Auto-Complete began counting down to complete the stop.
Geofence autocomplete -- Auto-Complete completed the stop.
Auto-complete cancelled -- The countdown was stopped before the stop was completed. The reason shows under the row.
Auto-complete snoozed -- The driver snoozed Auto-Complete for this stop.
Each row has a colored dot. Hover over it to see where the event came from:
Source: Driver -- Recorded by Hauler Hero Road on the driver's tablet
Source: Vision -- Recorded by Hero Vision
Source: Manual -- Entered by a person
On a stop with several containers, events from the same minute share one row that names the containers (or says how many, like "3 containers"). On a stop with one container, rows don't name the container.
What isn’t on the timeline?
Status changes (for example, stops moving to Completed or Skipped). Those will stay in Activity History.
The truck’s route in between stops.
Why does the timeline look incomplete?
There’s a Geofence entered row, but not a Geofence exited row
This means the driver completed the stop while their truck was still in range.
The Geofence exited time is later than when the truck left
“Geofence exited” is recorded only once the truck has stayed out of range for a shot wait time (the same wait their Auto-Complete uses); so some times it can show a little after the truck drove away.
The times are a little different than what the driver remembers
Their tablet’s GPS is accurate to a short distance, so a the moment a truck is recognized “in range” can be slightly early or late. Check that the container’s pin is in the right spot on the customer’s location.
I don’t see any Auto-Complete rows
Auto-Complete rows only appear if the driver is using Auto-Complete. Arrival and departure rows are recorded either way.
I don’t see a timeline at all
The stop has no recorded events, or the driver is using an older version of Hauler Hero Road. Timeline functionality requires v1.08.76 or later.
