Hauler Hero Road is the new Hauler Hero driver app. We’ve rebuilt it from the ground up for speed, durability, and the realities of a working truck out in the field.
If you’ve used our previous driver app, Hauler Hero Road will feel familiar, but work very differently under the hood. Here’s a quick rundown:
| Legacy Driver App | Hauler Hero Road |
Syncing | Manual syncs from CRM to tablet | Continuous syncs between CRM and tablet |
Offline work | Limited retry mechanism | Actions queue and retry until they land |
Route loading | Load times grow with large routes | Large routes load quickly |
Map | Basic map, no turn-by-turn | Fully adjustable auto-complete, take actions from full screen mode, turn-by turn navigation |
Auto-complete | Adjust radius, timing, and speed thresholds | Adjust radius, timing, speed, and buffer thresholds |
Driver assignment | Not available | Displayed once assigned via website app |
Container swaps | Not supported | Swap on the truck, then place at another customer or back in the yard |
Serialized containers | Not supported | Serial numbers displayed on stop details |
Stop statuses | Same color for holds, vacation holds, and suspensions | Distinct colors for holds, vacation holds, and suspensions |
Confirmation | Visual only | A short vibration on every successful action |
Highlights
Big routes won’t slow you down
The stop list, map, and stop detail cards all run on a new foundation.
Even at 1000s of stops, scrolling and selecting stay smooth.
Nothing gets lost
Hauler Hero Road is built around the reality of working on the road. Your tablet’s data connection will drop sooner or later. So:
Completions retry until they save, so a busy moment on the server won’t lose them
Anything a driver does offline saves locally and syncs once signal returns
Drivers know what they’re on
Hauler Hero Road shows each driver exactly what they’ve been assigned.
Turn-by-turn directions
Drivers get turn-by-turn navigation to the next stop, right from Hauler Hero Road.
Reach out to Support if you’d like to try it out.
Map improvements
Service, skip, or log exceptions from the full-screen map view or the split list/map view
Density color-coding as you zoom out
Auto-complete stops
Auto-complete thresholds (radius, timing, buffer, speed) are now adjustable
Drivers no longer need to keep the stop’s details screen open for auto-complete to fire
Inventory swaps
Move containers on and off the truck without leaving the route.
If you use serialized containers, their serial numbers appear as you work when you need them.
What the office sees
Photos attached to exceptions appear on work orders in the website app
Exceptions created in the office sync down to the tablet
UI improvements
Cancelled stops are hidden and don’t count toward the route’s totals
Stop numbering is consistent across the list, map, and detail views
Stop cards show the address, or the customer name if you prefer
A short vibration confirms when stops are serviced or skipped and when exceptions or container moves are saved
Hauler Hero Road scales to fit screens of all sizes, so signature capture, date fields, buttons, and labels stay readable and usable
Also new in routing
You can now set a route’s master sequence (the default order of its stops) to match the order your drivers actually run it.
You can do this from our website app through Master Sequence in Route Manager.

Your Feedback is Needed
Feedback from you and your team is what drives those weekly updates. Many improvements to Road came directly from a hauler or a driver telling us about something that was slowing them down.
If anything doesn’t work the way you expect, or you spot something that would make your team’s days easier, reach out to your Customer Success Manager and we’ll make sure it reaches our developers.
