The foundation of managing your routes with Hauler Hero is the ability to create, edit, and delete (or restore) routes for your drivers to run. This article goes through each of those actions as well as some tips we have to help keep your operations smooth.
How do I create a route?
From the Route Manager (either the Board or List view), click “New Route” at the top right.
Then, fill out the following fields and click “Save” at the bottom right when done.
Route Name -- A meaningful name you and your haulers can identify the route with. Note that the route name does not impact the day of week the route runs.
Color -- Choose what color you want this route and its pins to display with.
Starting Yard -- The yard that this route starts at
Ending Yard -- The yard that this route ends at
Business Line -- The line of business this route runs for
Method -- The methods items are hauled on this route
Assigned Drivers -- The hauler(s) responsible for running this route; if you don’t know who you’d like to assign yet, you can always come back here via Edit Route to assign when you do.
How do I edit a route?
From the Route Manager (either the Board or List view), click the Edit button or “Edit Route,” found in the 3-dot menu.
This will open the same view you saw when you created the route (see above). Adjust whatever you need (i.e. perhaps it was an unassigned route before, but now you know who you’d like to assign).
Click “Save” at the bottom right when you’re done.
How do I delete a route?
You can delete a route by clicking “Delete Route” in the 3-dot menu’s dropdown or while in Edit Mode (found in the bottom left corner of the Edit view).
Clicking the Delete button will follow up with an “Are you sure?” dialog, just in case you didn’t mean to click Delete.
How do I restore a deleted route?
You can recover a deleted route by clicking the “Route Recovery” icon.
Search for the route you want to restore, select it, then click “Confirm” to restore it back to your list of routes.
