How do I see each driver's path when several drivers work the same route?

When more than one driver works the same rote, Route Manager will draw a separate path for each driver so that your office team can see who drove where, how fast, and when.

Each driver needs their own login for this to work.

In this article, we cover:

  • How to turn on the driver path

  • How to see who drove each part of a route

  • Why each tablet needs its own login

  • What drivers see when they share a route

How do I turn on the driver path?

From Routes > Map, the Driver Path toggle is in the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner.

From Routes > Advanced Map, the Driver Path toggle is in the map’s Control Panel.

Each driver’s path is drawn in the route’s color and ends in a truck icon at that driver’s latest location. When two or more drivers work the same route, you’ll see two or more lines in the same color, each with their own truck icon.

How do I see who drove each part of a route?

Move your mouse along the driver path, or tap it on a touch screen. The Driver Path Information pop-up will show:

  • Route Name -- The route the path belongs to

  • Driver -- The login that recorded that point

  • Speed -- In mph, shown in red above 80 mph

  • Timestamp -- When the driver was at that point, in your time zone
The details update as you move along the path.

Why does each driver’s tablet need their own login?

Hauler Hero Road tells drivers apart by the login they signed in with, not by the tablet.

If the same login is signed into two tablets working the same route, both tablets’ locations will land on one path. The line will zig-zag back and forth between the two tables and the speed in the information pop-up can be wrong.

That day’s path cannot be separated after word.

To keep each path clean:

  • Give every driver their own login, and have each driver sign in with it.

  • Don’t sign into the same login on more than one tablet at the same time. If drivers switch tablets, ensure they sign out of the previous one first.

What do drivers see when they share a route?

When two drivers work the same route, each tablet picks up the stops the other driver completes shortly after the other tablet sends theme. If a driver’s tablet is offline, the other driver won’t see those stops until it reconnects and syncs.

Can I export or report on driver path data?

Not yet. Driver path details are only on the map. To see the order a driver completed stops in, use the Driver Sequence export in How to Export and Import Driver Route Sequence in Route Manager.
