Application updates

  • Hotfix notifications: We found a way to remove the annoying update notifications when we push hotfixes, allowing for less friction and a more smooth user experience. The pop-up you will see tomorrow will be the last one you will ever see.

Company Management

  • Company Page Upgrades: The addition of tabs for opportunities, quotes, and contacts makes managing company-related information more organized and accessible. (see video)

Opportunities

  • Automated Import: New feature to automatically import newly created opportunities in Autotask to Salesbuildr on an hourly basis, saving time and reducing manual input.

Quotes

  • Visual Profit Indicators: Introducing a visual cue (red font) for negative profit line items, aiding quicker financial assessments.

  • Flexible Bundling Settings: Added template based settings to control the default visibility and sharing options for bundles in quotes.

  • Consolidated Billing Period Display: Streamlining quote headers by displaying a single billing period when all items in a category share it. This saves whitespace between the line items allowing for more services to fit on a single page.

  • Contract period: You can now specify a contract duration and contract start date in the quote settings tab. (Advanced and higher subscriptions)

Quotes

  • Bundle Price Adjustments: Users can now edit prices and quantities for bundle line items within a quote, offering flexibility in custom pricing strategies.

  • Primary Quote Management: When a primary quote is deleted, users are now prompted to designate another quote as primary, maintaining organizational clarity.

  • Copy quotes: You can now copy a quote that contains bundles

Opportunities

  • Overview page: You can now sort opportunities on name, last updated or age.

Templates

  • Bundle settings: You can choose if end customers can see what's inside bundles or not.

  • Descriptions: You can choose if end customers can add descriptions for line items.

Permissions

  • User Permissions: A new permission setting that enables users to manage companies . Advanced permissions are available on the premium plan.

  • Price History for Viewers: Product viewers can now access price history logs, providing transparency and aiding in informed decision-making. Advanced permissions are available on the premium plan.

KPN / RoutIT Integration

  • Streamlined Service Editing: Unnecessary fields have been removed when editing services, making the interface cleaner and more user-friendly.

Microsoft Dynamics Integration

  • Quick Opportunity Reopening: You can now quickly reopen opportunities in CRM directly from Salesbuildr, making it easier to update and manage your sales pipeline.

  • VAT Field Addition: A VAT number field has been added, streamlining financial and tax reporting.

Product Catalog

  • Enhanced Inventory Import: You can now map columns and add categories during inventory import, offering more control over how your products are organized.

Quotes

  • Expiry Notification Override: You can now override global expiry notification settings at the quote level by clearing this field when sending a quote, giving you more control over individual client interactions.

  • Custom Email Fields: You can now add custom emails to the 'CC' field, offering more flexibility in how you communicate with your team and clients.

  • Expand/collapse icon: We added a more subtle expand/collapse and edit icons for bundles instead of the big buttons.

  • Customer Line Item Descriptions: A new toggle has been added that allows customers to add their own line item descriptions, enhancing the interactive nature of your quotes.

  • Quick Quote UI Improvements: The quick quote interface has been improved to prevent accidental loss of changes, saving you time and frustration.

  • Retraction Notifications: When retracting a quote, the default is now set to no notification, streamlining the process.

  • Subtotal Visibility: You can now choose to hide or show subtotals on product widgets, giving you more control over how pricing information is presented.

  • Default Delivery Address: You can now configure a default delivery address on the company level, speeding up the quote creation process.

  • Localized Quote Labels: The "Add description" label on quotes can now be localized, improving user experience for non-English speaking clients.

Distributor connections

  • New Supplier Implementations: Support for EET, A&C and SDC has been added, expanding your options for product sourcing.

Templates

  • Error Handling in Templates: Improved error messages for template compilation will now show when there's a missing "}" in a variable, making it easier to troubleshoot issues.

Users and Roles

  • New 'Company Manage' Permission: A new permission level has been added, allowing for more granular control over who can manage company-level settings and data.

Quotes

  • Added column to quote list to show profit: This enables better financial oversight by displaying profit margins directly in the quote list, helping you manage profitability.

  • Hide IP on quote PDF/presentation: This increases security by hiding sensitive information, protecting your business.

  • We improved the quote page performance: This enhances user experience by speeding up the quote page, making it more responsive.

  • Enable or disable subtotals per product section: You can now set this option per product section individually.

  • Add shipping information as variables: This allows to output the customers chosen delivery address, improving the quote accuracy.

  • Export all quotes option: This streamlines the process of exporting quotes by allowing batch exports, saving you time.

  • Quick quote dialog with template label selector: This speeds up the quoting process by allowing quick selection of templates, making it easier to generate quotes.

  • Better insert widget dialog: This improves user experience by enhancing the widget insertion dialog, making it easier to customize quotes. You can now also select multiple widgets to insert at once.

  • Labour import options: This provides more control over where imported labour line items appear in the quote, giving you greater flexibility. Salesbuildr will also trow an error if you reference non existing Autotask labour ID's.

  • Edit order of items in bundles: This allows for customization of bundle item order, enabling you to determine the order of bundle line items.

  • Add "Company" and "Contact" to custom delivery addresses: This provides more detailed delivery address options, improving the accuracy of your quotes.

  • Default setting for creating quote titles: This streamlines the quote creation process by providing a naming convention for quote titles, making it quicker to generate quotes with consistent titles. Go to Admin, Qoute, Quote settings and navitage to the bottom of the page.

  • Send Notification on Customer Line Item Comments: This keeps the sales team informed when customers comment on idividual line items, improving communication. All comments will be added to the email notification when a customer approved the quote.

  • Automatically set the quote owner based on Dynamics 365 CRM value: This automates the assignment of quote owners based on Dynamics 365 CRM data, streamlining the sales process.

  • Enable multi-select checkbox for add-ons: This streamlines the process of adding multiple optional add-ons to quotes, making it easier to upsell.

Email Notifications and Deliverability

  • We will now only send email expiry notifications on workdays: This reduces unnecessary notifications over the weekend to your customers.

Product Catalog

  • Dynamics 365 CRM Taxes propagate through the system: This ensures accurate and consistent tax calculations across all transactions, reducing errors.

  • Default settings for new products: This speeds up the product creation process by setting "listed" and "product can be sold" as default options, making it easier to add new products.

  • Distributor hub connection issue resolved: This fixes a critical bug affecting the distributor hub, ensuring a smoother user experience.

Suppliers/Distributors

  • Added EET Belgium: This adds support for EET in Belgium , expanding the range of available products and giving you more options.

  • Fetch products info from distributor catalog when product information not found in Icecat or Onetrail: This ensures product information is always up-to-date and comprehensive, improving your product listings.

  • Added Jarltech Europe Gmbh: This expands the range of available suppliers, giving you more choices for products.

  • Added Complies: This adds another supplier option, providing more choices for products and increasing your flexibility.

Application updates

  • Updates: App Updates will be announced with a toast at the bottom of the screen "There is an update available" to make it less intrusive.

Quotes

  • Category Descriptions: Automatically add pre-filled category descriptions to quotes when adding products, making your quotes more informative.

  • Customer Line Comments: Receive notifications when customers add comments on line items, keeping you in the loop for any clarifications or changes. As soon a proposal is approved, all customer comments will be included in the notification email.

Dashboard

  • Chat Integration: Add a "Chat with me" button linked to your Teams chat, enabling real-time customer engagement.

    Templates

  • Page Breaks: Insert page breaks in widgets with line items for better document organization.

  • Linked Widgets: Widgets that contain items can now be linked instead of copied, making template management more efficient.

  • Product & Add-on Ordering: Change the order of products and preset enabled add-ons for a more standardised proposal experience.

  • Styling: We added new styling options to enable you to control the heading line height , heading spacing and paragraph spacing. Make sure to update your parent styling settings on the quote, styling tab. After this you can copy these settings to the templates you have.

  • Cover pages: Cover pages are now shown as thumbnails, allowing for quick and easy identification.

Contacts Management

  • Bulk Edit User Permissions: You can now save time by editing user permissions in bulk.

  • Email Customization: We've refined the email process to include the middle name when sending out emails.

Product Catalog

  • New Pricing Unit: We've added "Workload" as a new unit for product pricing, giving you more flexibility in how you price your services.

KPN / RoutIT Integration

This integration was build for KPN-Rout-it partners in the Netherlands and available on the premium subscription. The integration is currently live for a few customers who are providing feedback. Please let us know if you are interested in this integration which we expect to be able to ship from october 9 in week 41.

  • In-App Contract Viewing: Access RoutIT contracts right inside the quote editor, allowing you to tailor your proposals more effectively.

  • Product Catalog: Browse the complete KPN-RoutIT product catalog within Salesbuildr, making it easier to add services to your quotes.

  • Service Linking: Link KPN/RoutIT services to your existing services, offering a seamless integration experience.

  • Customer Sync: Link KPN/RoutIT customers to your Salesbuildr customers, ensuring data consistency.

  • Postal Code Check: Now you can check the availability of KPN/RoutIT services based on postal codes, enabling more accurate proposals.

Autotask Integration

  • Automated Product Import: We added a setting to automatically import products that are registered as in stock from Autotask. This ensures that your product catalog is always up-to-date without manual intervention. Navigate to Admin, Autotask, Inventory to enable this setting. (view image)

Catalog Management

  • Non-Product Editor Access: Non-product editors can now create products. These products can be verified by administrators or user with product editor permissions in the product overview.

Marketplace

  • View Customisation: You can now toggle between tile and list views on the marketplace, offering you a more personalised browsing experience. (see how this works)

Quote Management

  • CC Parent Organisation Contacts: You can now add contacts from a parent organisation in the send quote dialog, ensuring that the right people are always in the loop.

  • Multiple Delivery Addresses: You can configure multiple delivery addresses per customer, allowing them to choose from a picklist when placing an order. Read more.

  • Bundle Quantity Sync: When you increase the bundle quantity, the displayed quantity of underlying items will now change correspondingly. Read more.

  • We’ve added an integration with Threads. Thread develops a Service Collaboration Platform that allows customers to “have a conversation with the right person to resolve their issue faster than ever, without even leaving their workflow.”

We're excited to announce the new release of Salesbuildr, here are the key updates:

Quote Enhancements

  • You can now toggle single or multi select for quote line items directly in the quote editor (watch video)

  • New products can now be added using the "Add products" button in the quote editor, this opens a dialog that makes it easier to find and add new products to the quote. (watch video)

  • When a customer approves a quote, you can now redirect them to a thank you page. You can create a new landing page to tell your customer what will happen next. You can select the specific landing page in the quote template settings. (Watch video)

  • Our quote exporter now includes a product category field in the line item on export. This will help in organising and filtering your exported data.

  • You can now fetch all details from approved quotes from the API as part of the premium plan.

  • You can now be notified when a line item in a quote goes out of stock or low stock. This allows for better stock management and proactive response.

  • We've added an option to show a list of all subtotals in the quote financial summary section. This gives a clear breakdown of the one-time and recurring investments based on the quote categories for better understanding. (watch video)

  • We added a "Created by" filter to the quote overview to quickly see the difference between quote creators and quote owners.

Templates

  • You can now insert page breaks in widget templates. This enables you to create widgets that contain multiple pages that can be inserted in quotes and templates. (watch video)

  • You can now create multiple cover page templates that can be applied to templates and quotes. (watch video)

Opportunities

  • You can now program "calculate order value by X amount of months" as a default setting for opportunities, which means fewer manual calculations and increased efficiency in your sales workflow. (view screenshot)

Dashboard

  • The category management page has moved from the admin section to the dashboard menu for easier access and better workflow management.(view screenshot)

  • Our new quick-add product feature automatically fetches the cost price and category markup to calculate the sales price, making the addition of new products to your offerings smoother. (watch video)

Importer Enhancements

  • We've introduced an automatic header matching feature. If your columns' headers match with our fields, they will be auto-mapped, saving you the hassle of manual mapping each time.

  • You can now add the "can be sold" field when importing products. This new feature simplifies the process of making products available for sale.

  • Now you can import labour price calculations as bundles into a quote, summarised per section. You can then choose if you want show your customer the underlying details or the summarised total.

Pricing Books

  • You can now indicate a special bid number field, providing more detail for each entry.

  • We've added the option to change the start and end date for multiple products at once, saving time when updating product availability.

Categories

  • We've added the ability to define a default markup for categories, giving you more control over your profit margins.

  • When creating a new category, the markup is now set to 20% by default. This saves time and ensures consistency across your categories.

Marketplace

  • You can now add Exertis NL as a distributor to the marketplace

  • We have updated the marketplace interface to make it easier to discover and import new products to your catalog (watch video)

We're excited to announce the new release of Salesbuildr, here are the key updates:

Templates

  • Default quote settings per template: By setting defaults, you save time that would typically be spent manually configuring settings for each new quote. Once the default settings are configured, these will automatically apply to all new quotes created using that template, speeding up the quote generation process. (view screenshot)

  • Quick Quote Button: Enhancements to our quick quote button now include an option to create a product in the same workflow, allowing you to build your quotes even faster. (view gif)

  • New Product Creation: You can now add new products directly from the dashboard, reducing time spent navigating through various sections. (view gif)

  • Create new contacts: The new feature of creating contacts directly from Salesbuildr will simplify and streamline your process of customer management. Now, by simply entering a business email address, Salesbuildr will automatically pull company and contact details from Apollo.io. This not only saves time but also ensures the accuracy of contact information. Although this functionality is currently available only in the standalone version of Salesbuildr, we're already working on extending it to Autotask and D365 integrated versions in the forthcoming release.   • New Unit Values: For greater accuracy and specificity, we've added new unit values (service, device, server) when adding or editing your products. The introduction of new unit values (service, device, server) offers significant benefits to Salesbuildr users. It facilitates a more accurate and specific representation of your products, enabling you to delineate and differentiate your offerings more effectively. (view screenshot)

  • Product Importer: Enjoy greater control over your catalog. Define a "can be sold" and "isSerialised" settings during product import and get detailed reports about the number of products imported versus the total lines in the CSV file.

  • Product Importer: The revamped Product Importer feature in Salesbuildr streamlines and enhances your import workflow for xls and csv formats. The automatic mapping based on headers eliminates the need for manual data entry, reducing errors and saving you valuable time.

Quotes

  • Quote titles: The new mouseover feature on the quote overview dialog in Salesbuildr enhances your user experience by providing more immediate and complete information. Now, when you hover your cursor over a quote, you'll see a full title display, meaning you don't have to click through or navigate away from your current view to understand the specifics of each quote.   • Quote Imports: The new Quote Imports feature brings efficiency to your fingertips by allowing you to import all products from a pricing book directly into a quote. This eliminates the time-consuming process of manually inputting each product and guarantees you have all essential product information readily available. We're excited to announce the new release of Salesbuildr, here are the key updates:

Dashboard

  • Quick Quotes: Efficiency just got a boost with our new update. You can now create a quote in no time based on default opportunity and quote settings. This will speed up your quotation process. (see video)

Templates

  • Labels: In our bid to make template management easier and more organized, we've added the ability to add labels to templates and template widgets. (see video)

Quotes

  • Advanced approvals: Now you can add the total quote margin as a condition to the advanced approval workflow, providing you a deeper level of customisation and control. (view image)

  • Availability: The ability to show or hide product availability to the customer on a quote-specific basis will ensure your quotes are always tailored to your needs. (see video)

  • Email: To ensure transparency and ease communication, the sender's email will always be CC'ed when sending a quote.

  • Design: We've also made aesthetic adjustments by removing the space between quote line items for a cleaner, sleeker look.

  • Subtotals by categories: You can now group subtotals by category. (see video)

Pricing books

  • Permissions: To enhance user management and security, only users with product edit permissions and admins will be able to create pricing books. However, all users will still have viewing access to the pricing books, ensuring necessary transparency.

  • Flexibility: Our pricing book feature is now more flexible. If start and end columns aren't mapped during import, you can define default values. This will help ensure your pricing books are always comprehensive and accurate.

Product Catalog

  • Low Stock labels: With the new update, a "LOW STOCK" label will be automatically applied when a product's internal stock falls below a configurable value on the product admin tab. This will alert you in real time and help you manage your inventory better.

Pricing books

  • Customer Identification: To enhance user management and security, only users with product edit permissions and admins will be able to create pricing books. However, all users will still have viewing access to the pricing books, ensuring necessary transparency.

Import Module

  • Product Import Markup and Margin: This release enables you to add a markup or margin column to product imports, enhancing cost tracking and control.

Product Catalog

  • Product Category Restriction: Admins can now prevent non admins from adding products to specific categories, allowing for greater control over product organisation. (view screenshot)

  • Filters: You can now filter for and bulk edit based on "isSerialised" and "Does not require procurement"

  • Recurring & Non-Recurring Terms: Users can set these terms for a category, with all products in the category inheriting them, and an option to override them for individual products. (view screenshot)

  • Marketplace Import Restrictions: Only users with product edit permissions and admins are allowed to import from the marketplace, ensuring control over product listings.

  • Not Quoted Since Filter: Easily identify and archive products that haven't been sold for a while with our new "not quoted since" filter. This keeps your catalog clean and relevant.

  • We are changing how we sync products to Autotask. Going forward, we will only push and sync products to Autotask when you add them to a quote or when you explicitly hit the synchronise button.

Quote Improvements

  • You can now reset and resend expired quotes with the click of a button. This feature will save your time and effort and enable you to follow up with customers in a more timely manner.

  • You can now lose an opportunity with the click of a button and provide a lost reason that will update Autotask. Keeping track of reasons why opportunities are lost improves your sales performance and help you win more business over the long run.

  • You can now quickly create new template widgets from the template widget library. By creating and leveraging templates and best practices, the team can save time and effort while ensuring consistency and standardization across their communications, leading to better quality quotes and proposals and increased business success.

  • When a quote is declined through the internal approval process, managers can now add a reason why they declined the quote. The reason will be included in the email notification and added to the quote chat tab. This feature will provide feedback to the sales team and help them understand why the quote was declined. The declined quote will be set back to DRAFT, enabling sales to revise and resubmit the quote for approval.

  • Order confirmations to customers now include the signed PDF as attachment. This feature providers customers with a copy of their order confirmation so they can store it for their records.

  • You can now reset filters on all overview pages. This enables you to quickly and easily reset your search criteria and start fresh, making it more efficient to find the information they need.

  • You can now see the dates related to the quote status (draft, send, approved, declined, expired) on the quote overview page. This will help you keep track of the progress of your quotes.

  • When you send a quote and set contacts in the CC, they will now actually be in the CC instead of receiving separate messages, so they can see who else got the message.

  • When availability is turned off for a product category, the availability selector will not be visible on the category page (here). Week 50 release notes

  • We added the ability to lock a template or template widget. This prevents the contents from being changed when it's inserted into a quote. This can be useful for preserving the formatting and layout of the template, and can help ensure that quotes are consistent and accurate (view image)

  • We added opportunity fields to provide a value for estimated one time and recurring revenue. As soon as you create a quote these fields will be automatically calculated based on the value of the quote. This improvement helps your to more accurately forecast revenue and track the progress (view image)

  • You can now manually change the stage of an opportunity. This can be useful for managing the sales process and tracking progress. When the opportunity is set to closed in Autotask, the field cannot be changed anymore to prevent related items such as charges from being cancelled.

  • You can now create bundles in Salesbuildr. Bundles can be created by combining one or more items from your catalog (hardware, software, services or labour) into one single line item on quotes. While your customer sees and approves a single line item, Salesbuildr will synchronise all underling items as line items on your Autotask quote (see article)

  • An explicitly entered cost price for a product will now no longer be overwritten daily with the cost price from your preferred distributor. Instead, if you want to use the distributor cost price, you can clear the cost price field, and then the system will use the distributor cost price.

    • A new filter on the products tab in profile allows you to see which products have an explicit cost price configured, and which ones haven't (i.e. which ones are automatically updated based on the distributor price).
