Written by Vineeta Pendse

Already using nShift (former Unifaun)? Connect it to yayloh and create return labels with any carrier available in your nShift account.

Before you start

  • Your nShift account set up for the carriers, services and countries you want to use for returns. yayloh uses your nShift setup as it is.

  • Your warehouse set up under Settings > Stores & warehouses. You'll choose it when you create the route.

  • Admin access to yayloh.

Step 1: Create an nShift API key

  1. Log in to nShift Delivery and go to Maintenance > API keys.

  2. Click New API key.

  3. Fill in the form:

    • Status: Enabled

    • Type: Web service-anrop (REST)

    • Note: a name, for example "yayloh"

    • IP address and post: leave blank

    • Developer ID: usually your account ID, found in your nShift account profile

  4. Click Finish. nShift creates an ID and a secret ID. You'll need both.

See also nShift's guide: Create an API key.

Step 2: Add nShift as a carrier

  1. Go to Settings > Carriers & Routes and open the Carriers tab.

  2. Click Add carrier, enter a name (for example "nShift"), and choose UNIFAUN as the carrier company.

  3. Under Credentials, fill in:

    • USERNAME (required): the ID of your API key

    • PASSWORD (required): the secret ID of your API key

    • QUICK_ID: your nShift Quick ID, if your setup uses one for all routes

Step 3: Create a route

Create one route for each nShift carrier and service you want to use.

  1. In the Routes tab, click Add route and choose your nShift carrier under Use.

  2. Under Allow returns from, choose the countries enabled in your nShift setup.

  3. Choose your Default warehouse.

  4. Open Specifications and fill in the fields below.

Field

What to enter

SHIPPING_COMPANY (required)

The carrier in nShift, for example POSTI

SERVICE_ID (required)

The exact service code in nShift, for example PO2108

QUICK_ID

A Quick ID for this route only, if your setup uses different ones per route

RETURN_SERVICE

Turn on if the service is set up as a return service in nShift

PACKAGE_CODE

The package code in nShift, if your service needs one

Quick ID and return service depend on your nShift setup. Use the values from your own nShift account. If you're not sure, check with nShift.

Step 4: Save and test

Click Apply changes, then create a test label on the Labels page.

Good to know

  • Labels only work for countries enabled in your nShift setup.

  • Paperless customs isn't supported through nShift.

  • nShift carrier missing from the SHIPPING_COMPANY list? Contact us and we'll add it.
