In Chariot, you can enhance your day view of the job schedule by adding custom tracks. This feature is particularly useful on days when your job volume is higher than expected or when you need to dispatch additional crews. Here's a step-by-step guide to adding custom tracks in Chariot.
Step-by-Step Guide
Access the Add Track Feature
Click on the "Add Track" icon located in the top right-hand corner of your job schedule view.
Select or Create a Custom Track
You will have two options:
Select an Existing Track: Choose from tracks that have already been created as custom tracks.
Add a New Custom Track: Click on the "Plus Custom" button to create a new track.
Name Your Custom Track
Enter a name for your new custom track. For example, you can name it "Crew 9".
Click "Submit" to add the track.
View the Added Custom Track
The newly added custom track will appear at the end of your schedule for the specified day. In our example, "Crew 9" will be visible in the day view.
Add the Same Track to Another Day
If you want to use the same custom track on a different day, follow these steps:
Click on the "Add Track" button again.
Select "Plus Existing".
Choose the desired track from the dropdown menu. The custom track you previously created, such as "Crew 9", will be available for selection.
Click "Submit" to add the track to the next day.
Limitations
Custom tracks are only visible on the days they are added. You need to manually add the custom track to each specific day you want it to appear.
Ensure that you name each custom track distinctly to avoid confusion when managing multiple custom tracks.
