Notifying Crew - Job Assignments: How It Works and Troubleshooting

Learn how to notify crew of their job assignments and what to do if a mover isn't receiving the text.

When a mover is assigned to a job in Chariot, they aren't automatically notified. The dispatcher needs to manually send crew notifications each day using the Notify Crew button on the job schedule.

How to notify crew of their assignments

  1. Go to the Job Schedule and switch to Day View

  2. Click the Notify Crew button

  3. Select the movers you want to notify and send

Each mover will receive a text message letting them know they've been assigned to a move on that date, with a link to view the job in their crew schedule.

This should be done daily as part of your dispatch routine — typically the day before or the morning of.

Mover didn't receive the text?

Start by checking whether the notification was actually sent:

  1. Go to the Notify Crew button on the day view

  2. Look for a timestamp next to the mover's name — if there's no timestamp, the text was never delivered

  3. If you don't see a timestamp, click Notify Crew again, select that mover, and resend

If the timestamp is there but the mover still says they didn't get it, ask them to check their filtered messages or unknown senders folder — carrier filtering sometimes catches texts from business numbers they haven't interacted with before.

Still not going through?

If you've resent the notification and the mover still isn't receiving it, contact Chariot support via the chat bubble or at support@chariotmove.com. Include the mover's name and phone number and we'll investigate.
