When a customer fills out their pre-move confirmation, they have the option to include a last-minute note — special instructions, access details, or anything else they want your team to know before the move. This article explains where those notes show up and what to know about notifications.
Where the customer's note appears
When a customer submits their pre-move confirmation with a note, that note is stored on the job in Chariot. You can find it by opening the job and looking in the Office Notes section.
Does your office get notified?
Not automatically. Currently, Chariot does not send a notification to office staff when a customer adds a note to their pre-move confirmation. The note is saved to the job, but there's no email, text, or in-app alert that goes out when it comes in.
This means if you're relying on pre-move confirmation notes for last-minute instructions, you'll need to proactively check the job before move day rather than waiting to be alerted.
How to stay on top of these notes
A few ways to make sure notes don't get missed:
Build it into your dispatch routine — When reviewing jobs the day before a move, open each job and check the notes section for anything the customer submitted
Use automations — You may be able to set up an automation that triggers a team notification at a set time before each job. Go to Automations and look for pre-move or job date triggers. This won't notify you the moment the customer submits the note, but it ensures the job gets reviewed before move day.
