When your order crosses international borders, it is often subject to local customs taxes, VAT, and processing fees. To give you full control over how you handle these charges, you will see two variations for our shipping tiers at checkout:
Standard (Duties Unpaid) vs. Standard (Duties Paid)
Priority (Duties Unpaid) vs. Priority (Duties Paid)
Here is exactly what those options mean for you and your delivery:
📦 Duties Paid (DDP),The Stress-Free Option
Selecting a Duties Paid option means you pay all import taxes and customs fees upfront at checkout.
How it works: We handle all the paperwork and clear the package through customs on your behalf.
The Benefit: Your package will be delivered directly to your doorstep with zero interruptions, hidden fees, or surprise bills. You just sit back and wait for your beautiful prints to arrive!
🛃 Duties Unpaid (DDU),The Hands-On Option
Selecting a Duties Unpaid option means you are only paying for the transit of the package at checkout.
How it works: When the package arrives in your country, your local customs office will hold it and contact you directly to collect the required import taxes.
The Benefit: Sometimes the upfront cost is lower than the "Paid" option.
The Risk: You are entirely responsible for tracking the shipment and paying the customs bill promptly. If you do not pay the duties within the carrier's time limit, the package will be returned to us, and you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipping it.
💡 Crucial Tip for Duties Unpaid: If you choose Duties Unpaid, please double-check that your phone number and email are entered correctly at checkout. Local postal carriers rely heavily on this information to text or email you your customs invoice.
Why is there sometimes a huge price difference between the two?
You might notice that on some days, the "Duties Paid" option is significantly more expensive than "Duties Unpaid."
International shipping rates and customs regulations fluctuate constantly. To guarantee the most reliable delivery, our logistics partners continuously scan multiple carriers. Sometimes, the safest, cheapest Unpaid route is with one specific courier, while the most reliable Paid route requires an entirely different global carrier. We will always display the absolute best, real-time rates available to ensure your artwork arrives safely.
