Hiding unit types lets you control what customers can book on your Storefront. Use it when you want to keep units in Stora but stop customers reserving them online. This article shows you how to fully hide a unit type, or hide it while keeping a direct link you can share. You can also choose to keep them visible and collect leads instead of bookings.
What you can do with hidden unit types
You can:
Hide a unit type so it does not appear on your Storefront and cannot be booked online.
Hide a unit type from your Storefront but keep a direct link that you can send to selected customers.
How to hide a unit type from your Storefront
Use this option when you do not want customers to see or book a unit type online.
Go to your site in Stora.
Open the Unit types section.
Select the unit type you want to hide.
Click Edit Unit Type.
Scroll to the Storefront status section.
Select Hidden, then choose Hidden and inaccessible.
Click Update unit type to save your changes.
Once you update the unit type, it will no longer appear on your Storefront and will no longer be bookable online.
⚠️ If you set a unit type to Hidden and inaccessible, any existing link to that unit type stops working for customers.
How to hide a unit type but still make it accessible with a link
Use this option when you want to keep a unit type off your public Storefront, but still let certain customers book it using a private link.
Go to your site in Stora.
Open the Unit types section.
Select the unit type you want to hide from your Storefront.
Click Edit Unit Type.
Scroll to the Storefront status section.
Select Hidden, then choose Hidden but accessible via direct link.
Click Update unit type to save your changes.
Once you update the unit type, it is hidden from your public Storefront, but customers can still book it if they use the direct link.
How to get the URL of the hidden unit type
After you set a unit type to be accessible via a direct link, you can copy or regenerate its link.
Go to your Unit types list at the site.
Select the unit type you set to Hidden but accessible via direct link.
On the right‑hand panel, find Storefront details.
Click Copy link to copy the current link.
Click Regenerate link if you want to create a new unique link.
Once you copy the link, you can send it to specific customers, for example, by email or chat, so only they can see and book that unit type online.
When to use each hidden option
Example:
You might use Hidden and inaccessible for unit types reserved for long‑term commercial customers that you never want the public to book.
You might use Hidden but accessible via direct link for a discounted promotion you only share with selected customers.
