API keys let other tools connect to your yayloh account, for example the Gorgias widget, your own systems through the yayloh Open API, or AI assistants such as Claude. You can create a separate key for each tool.
Who can do this: only admins can see the API keys page. Can't find it? Contact yayloh support to get access.
Create a key
Go to Settings > Api keys.
Under Generate New Key, enter a name in Add Alias Name, for example "Gorgias" or "ERP integration".
Click Generate.
Copy the key from the Key field and store it somewhere safe.
Copy the key right away. It isn't shown again after you leave the page. If you lose it, create a new key.
Manage your keys
Under Existing keys, you'll see every key with its name, the date it was created and who created it.
Create one key per tool. Each key works on its own, so creating a new key doesn't affect the others.
Delete a key you no longer use: click the bin icon next to it. Any tool using that key stops working right away, so check the name first.
Good to know
Treat a key like a password. Anyone with the key can access your yayloh data, so only share it with the people or tools that need it.
Think a key has leaked? Create a new key, update the tool that used it, then delete the old key.
