Checkout and Storefront features

Advanced Checkout

Advanced Checkout is a mobile‑optimised booking flow that breaks checkout into clear steps and adds upsell options.

Use it to:

  • Capture more leads.

  • Sell Products during checkout.

  • Keep the experience on brand.

Add‑on Products

Products let you sell add‑ons like padlocks, packing materials, van hire, or admin fees.

With Advanced, you can:

  • Create one‑time and recurring Products.

  • Add Products to one‑off invoices.

  • Add Products to new and existing subscriptions.

Group and upsell unit types

Unit type groups let you organise and present unit types in ways that make sense for customers, such as indoor vs outdoor, or ground floor vs first floor. You can highlight certain groups and show “from” prices.

Action Nudges

Action Nudges add small prompts on your Storefront, such as “Hurry, selling fast” or “Last few units left”, to draw attention to specific unit types.

They help you:

  • Highlight popular or scarce units.

  • Guide customers towards certain options.

Pop‑up forms

Pop‑up forms help you capture leads or share important messages on your Storefront.

You can:

  • Choose where and when the form appears.

  • Collect contact details for follow‑up.

  • Use different styles, such as full‑screen takeovers or smaller nudges.


Pricing and revenue tools

Price Increases

The Price Increases tool helps you find customers who are due a price change and schedule updates in advance.

You can:

  • Filter subscriptions by tenancy length or last increase date.

  • Schedule increases or decreases on unit and insurance prices.

  • Control when customers are notified.

Dynamic occupancy pricing

Dynamic occupancy pricing automatically changes the Storefront price of a unit type when its occupancy matches rules you set.

For example, you can:

  • Increase prices when occupancy is high.

  • Lower prices when occupancy is low.

  • Keep prices aligned with demand without updating them manually.

Automation and smart entry

Automate unit reservation

Auto‑reservation automatically reserves units for new Storefront bookings and allocates them on move‑in day.

  • If move‑in is today, the unit becomes Occupied and the customer gets access instructions.

  • If move‑in is in the future, the unit is reserved until the move‑in date.

Automate unit deallocation

Auto‑deallocation automatically removes customers from their units at the end of their move‑out day, freeing units up for the next booking and keeping occupancy accurate.

Automate overlocking

Auto‑overlocking works with supported smart entry systems to remove access when payments fail, and restore it when customers pay.

You can:

  • Choose whether to overlock immediately or after a grace period.

  • Send customers an email with a payment link.

  • Automatically restore access when the payment succeeds.

Auto-availability

Auto‑availability keeps your unit types on the Storefront in sync with their real availability.

Stora can:

  • Switch a unit type from “bookable” to “collect leads” when it is full.

  • Switch it back to “bookable” when a unit becomes available again.

Smart entry integrations

Advanced includes support for integrating Stora with smart entry systems, so access can be managed automatically.


Reporting and analytics

Advanced Reporting

Advanced reporting gives you a flexible reporting centre with more detailed and filterable reports.

You can:

  • Switch between sites and date ranges.

  • Group data by day, week, or month.

  • Export data to CSV.

  • Use advanced reports such as recognised revenue, occupancy over time, and source reports.

Integrations and developer tools

Public API and webhooks

The Public API and webhooks let you connect Stora to other tools and automate workflows.

Use them to:

  • Sync customers, bookings, invoices, and units.

  • Trigger external automations when something changes in Stora.

  • Build custom integrations or dashboards.

Zapier

The Stora Zapier app lets you build no‑code automations when something happens in Stora.

You can:

  • Trigger actions when bookings, invoices, subscriptions, units, or contacts change.

  • Connect to tools like Slack, HubSpot, Google Sheets and many others.

Roles and permissions

Staff member role

Advanced gives you more control over what team members can see and do.

You can:

  • Use the Staff role to limit access to sensitive settings and reports.


Early access to new features

Customers on the Advanced plan can get early access to new Stora features.

As an Advanced customer, you can:

  • Join the Early Access Space in the Self Storage Community to see what is coming next.

  • Discuss new features with the Stora team and other operators.

  • Try selected features before they are released more widely
