How To Enable Editing For On Hold And Cancelled Projects

Why This Matters

Sometimes projects get put on hold or cancelled, but that doesn't mean you're done with them. Enabling editing for these projects means your team can update notes, capture lessons learned, or restart a project without losing any information.

What You'll Need

  • Admin access to SubcontractorHub

  • A web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select“Settings.”

Step 2

From the left-side menu, click“Project Settings".

Step 3

Click the“Edit” icon to edit the settings.

Step 4

Locate“Allow editing of fields in On-Hold Projects” and toggle the setting to enable editing for projects marked as On Hold.

Step 5

Locate“Allow editing of fields in Cancelled Projects” and toggle the setting to enable editing for projects marked as Cancelled.

Step 6

Click“Update” to save changes.

Real-World Example

💡 A sales manager reactivates a cancelled project when the homeowner calls back 3 months later ready to move forward. All the original proposal details and notes are still there — no need to start from scratch.
