How to Transfer Domains from Maildoso to Dynadot

Step-by-step for moving domains registered through Maildoso to your own Dynadot account: eligibility (60-day lock, active subscription), what to send us, and whether to keep or drop the plan slot.

Domains registered through Maildoso can be moved to your own Dynadot account. This article is the step-by-step; the policy summary (timing, slot fee vs downgrade) is in Transferring your domains out of Maildoso.

How the transfer works

Domains are transferred from Maildoso to Dynadot via an account-to-account push. This doesn't require an EPP/auth code and moves the domains directly into your Dynadot account. Mailboxes on the transferred domains are not transferred and stop working once the domain leaves Maildoso — recreate them in your new setup afterwards.

Eligibility

  1. ICANN 60-day lock: a domain must be past the 60-day lock from its registration (or last transfer) date before it can be pushed.

  2. Active subscription: transfers are normally scheduled at or near the end of the subscription term, while the subscription is still active. If you don't plan to renew, request the transfer before the subscription ends.

Steps

  1. Create a Dynadot account if you don't have one, and complete all required contact details — missing information blocks the push.

  2. Send us the list of domains to transfer and your verified Dynadot push username (found in your Dynadot account settings; it can differ from your login username).

  3. Tell us what to do with the plan slots — see the next section.

  4. We push the domains; accept them in your Dynadot account.

Keep the slot or downgrade?

  • Keep the domain slot on your plan: a $15 per domain fee applies (we'll send a payment link). You keep that capacity and can register a new domain in its place later.

  • Don't need the slot: we reduce your plan's domain allowance by that amount (a downgrade), and no transfer fee applies.

Transferring a domain out does not automatically remove it from your subscription — tell us which option you want so the plan reflects only the domains you keep with us.

Timing and nameservers

  • During the push the nameservers stay unchanged, so mail keeps working until you wind the mailboxes down.

  • After the push, manage renewal, DNS and expiry for the domain at Dynadot; the status shown in your Maildoso dashboard is no longer meaningful for a transferred-out domain.
