Project automation history captures detailed updates, including both the previous and current values, along with any associated errors. This gives you clear visibility into what changed and why, making it easier to track issues, troubleshoot faster, and maintain accuracy across your project workflows. Follow the steps below to view automation history.

What You'll Need

Admin access to SubcontractorHub
A web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Click "Manage Projects" and select "Projects" from the drop-down.

Step 2

Select the preferred project from the list.

Step 3

Once you are inside the project details page, click the "More" button.

Step 4

Click "View Automation History".

Step 5

The automation history shows the updated fields and the previous version.

Step 6

It also shows any automation failures, along with the reason for failure under the message. Note: Automation history also records if/else conditions and wait actions, providing additional visibility into the automation execution flow.

Note: New functionality was added to the automation history section for each module.

A search option allows users to locate automations by name.
A "show condition" toggle was implemented, which hides conditional (if/else) actions by default to clean up the view; users must toggle it on to display these specific events.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Solution
I don't see this option	Make sure you have Admin access. Some features require specific permissions.
Changes aren't saving	Try refreshing your browser and make sure you clicked Save before navigating away.
Something looks different from the screenshots	SubcontractorHub updates regularly. The feature works the same way — the layout may just look slightly different.
Automation not triggering	Check that the trigger conditions are met and the automation is turned on. Review the automation history for error details.
