Alternative questions this article answers:
Can I send claims to a different address than standard returns?
How do I set up a separate shipping location for defective items?
Can claims generate a return label to a second store or warehouse?
Overview:
Yes, you can route claims to a secondary warehouse or store using custom carrier routes configured by yayloh. Depending on your setup, you can generate these labels manually via the Labels page or handle them through an enabled Claim Flow.
Important limitation on automation: Return shipping rules cannot automatically trigger labels based on return type 'Claim' differently. As a result, labels designated for a secondary location cannot be sent automatically upon customer registration and must be manually generated by your support team.
Basic set up:
Before using any of the options below, please contact the yayloh support team to set up your secondary shipping routes.
Our team will create duplicate carrier services routed specifically to your secondary warehouse or location so they are available for label generation via the Labels page.
Option 1:
You do NOT use the Claim option in the return portal If customers do not submit claims through yayloh return form portal, use the Labels page in yayloh as a standalone Transportation Management System (TMS) to generate custom labels.
Steps to generate a label:
Go to Labels in your yayloh dashboard.
Select Order number, paste the order number, and click Fetch routes.
Select your custom 'Claim' Route.
Download and email the label directly to your customer.
Option 2:
You use the Claim option and Claim Flow in your portal If customers submit claims directly through your return portal, enable the full Claim Flow to manage reviews and manual label generation.
The full Claim Flow prevents automatic label send out at checkout and enables all resolution choices (Refund, Store Credit, Replacement Order, or Reject).
Step-by-step workflow:
Customer submits claim: Customer submits photos and details via the portal.
Acknowledgement sent: Customer receives an automated confirmation email without a label attached.
Generate claim label: Go to Labels > Order number > Paste order number > Fetch routes > Select your Claim Route.
Share label with customer: Email the generated label directly to the customer.
Add tracking details: Update the label tracking number into the corresponding yayloh request to monitor delivery.
Inspect and resolve: Once the item arrives at your secondary location, inspect it and complete the request in yayloh.
