With a QR code, the customer doesn't need to print a return label. They show the QR code at the service point, and the label is printed there. QR codes depend on the carrier, the service and the customer's country, and your carrier contract must include a service that supports them.
Which carriers support QR codes?
PostNord: Sweden, Denmark and Norway
Bring: services 9000, 9300, 9350, 9600, 9650, 0341 and 0343
DHL eCommerce: Parcel Connect and Parcel Return Connect, for returns from Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal and Sweden. The customer must drop off the parcel in their own country. Check the current list of countries with DHL, as it can change.
Helthjem: supported, but Helthjem decides the return method itself. yayloh sets up a Helthjem service code for your account, and for each return, Helthjem's system decides whether the customer gets a QR code, a home pickup or, as a backup, a PostNord label. This means you can't choose QR codes for individual returns with Helthjem.
How to start offering QR codes
Check that your carrier contract includes a return service that supports QR codes.
Contact yayloh and tell us the carrier, the service and the countries you want to offer QR codes for.
We'll set it up for you under Carriers & routes.
How the customer gets the QR code
Automatically: the QR code is sent to the customer in the return email notification.
From the dashboard: you can download the QR code from the return in the yayloh dashboard and send it to the customer yourself.
As an extra label: you can create a new QR code on the Labels page. See How to Generate Return Labels Independently in yayloh.
The service point didn't accept the QR code
Why it happens: Sometimes the carrier's systems don't sync properly, so the service point doesn't recognize a QR code that was created correctly. yayloh creates QR codes through the carrier's system and can't see why a service point rejects one.
What to do:
Create a new QR code on the Labels page and send it to the customer.
Report the problem to the carrier's support team, attaching the QR code images and tracking numbers. You can download both from the yayloh dashboard.
If the service point doesn't accept a printed label either, see What to do if a return label is not accepted by the service center?
Still not working?
Contact us with the order number, the carrier and the customer's country.
