This page is for pharmacies that use Updox with ComputerRx. Work through it in order. Skip any product your pharmacy doesn’t have.
Activate Updox in ComputerRx
Make sure you’re using ComputerRx version 27.0.2.5 or later.
In ComputerRx, go to File Maintenance > Business Info > Communications.
On the Communication tab (top right), select Updox Account.
Enter the email you registered your Updox account with, then select Activate.
Select Save in the bottom left. If Save is greyed out, sign in to ComputerRx as an admin.
This adds the Updox badge to ComputerRx for all your users. Some users may need to restart to see it.
Activation not working? Check the email address you entered.
Signing in
Updox uses single sign-on with ComputerRx.
To open Updox, select the Updox badge (the U icon) in ComputerRx.
Your Updox admin access matches your admin status in ComputerRx.
Every user needs a unique email address in their ComputerRx user profile.
Admins: users appear in Updox under Menu > Admin > Users after their first sign-in. You can set restrictions there, or create a password so a user can sign in to Updox directly.
Virtual printer
ComputerRx users don’t get Updox sign-in details automatically. Use one of these:
A password your admin creates in Menu > Admin > Users
Your pharmacy’s Integration Key (Menu > Admin > Pharmacy Information)
Printer credentials you create (Menu > Profile > Printer Credentials)
Working in ComputerRx
Inbound faxes appear in the Intake Queue under Queues.
Outbound faxes stay under Outbound Faxes in ComputerRx, the same as today.
Texting: you can text a patient from their Patient Profile with TEXT PATIENT. Patient replies appear only in Updox.
Your ComputerRx address book syncs with Updox nightly.
