Training Hub: Updox (No EHR)

Get started with Updox on its own, without an EHR connection: signing in, adding patients and contacts, and setting up your Inbox and products.

This page is for practices that use Updox on its own, without a connection to an EHR. Work through it in order. Skip any product your practice doesn’t have.

Signing in

  • Sign in at ui.myupdox.com after your admin creates your user account.

  • Admins: create users under Menu > Admin > Users.

  • Virtual printer: sign in with your Updox username and password or your practice’s Integration Key (Menu > Admin > Practice Information).

Add your patients and contacts (admins)

Because Updox isn’t connected to an EHR, patients and contacts don’t sync automatically. Add them in one of these ways:

  • Import a patient list.

  • Upload a contact list.

  • Add contacts one at a time in the Address Book.

What’s different without an EHR

  • Sending to an EHR isn’t available.

  • Broadcast: you can only broadcast to patients you’ve added to your patient list or Address Book.

  • Reminders: to include a Video Chat waiting room link in reminders, you need both Premium Reminders and Video Chat.
