How To Select Payabli As A Payment Method For Cash Financing

Why is this important?

Selecting Payabli for cash financing gives teams a clear payment setup within the proposal workflow. Once Payabli is selected and the financing option is finalized, the proposal can move forward to contract signing and project conversion.

The updated Payabli payment interface also gives users more flexibility when collecting payments, managing invoices, and handling payment actions such as refunds and voids.

What do you need?

  • An active Payabli integration.

  • A proposal with Cash selected as the financing option.

  • Payabli selected as the payment method.

  • The finance option finalized before moving to contract signing and project conversion.

  • Payment or invoice details ready when collecting customer payments.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Scroll down to the financing section of the proposal and select the “Cash” option.

Step 2: Select the “Payabli” option from the dropdown immediately above the cash finance card.

Step 3: Click “Finalize” to lock in the finance option.

Step 4: The “Finalize” button will turn yellow and read “Unfinalize”. You can now proceed to contract singing and conversion to a project.

Updates in Payabli Payment Interface

1. Flexible Payment Collection

Choose how payments are collected by either charging the customer automatically or sending them an invoice.

2. Dispute and Refund Status

The Dispute and Refund Status has been removed in the new Payabli interface.

This is how the new Payabli interface looks currently.

3. Invoice Sending

Send invoices directly to customers as part of the payment process.

4. Clear Invoice Numbers

Invoices include clear and easy-to-understand invoice numbers, making them easier to identify and manage.

5. Refund and Void Options

The Payment section includes options to Refund or Void a payment when needed.

6. Invoice Payment

The option to pay directly from the invoice is not available in Payabli.

7. Credit and Debit Balance

Payment accounts support credit and debit balance adjustments for managing account balances.

8. Payment Method Options

Users can choose from the available payment method options when setting up a payment instead of being redirected to a third party page.

Pro tip

After selecting Payabli, make sure you click Finalize. When the button changes to Unfinalize, the finance option has been locked in and you can continue with contract signing and project conversion.

When collecting payments, choose the option that works best for the customer, such as automatic charging or sending an invoice.

Real-life scenario

A sales rep is creating a proposal for a customer who will pay through cash financing. They select Cash in the financing section and choose Payabli as the payment method.

After clicking Finalize, the button changes to Unfinalize, confirming that the finance option is locked in. The rep can then continue signing the contract and convert the proposal into a project.

When it is time to collect payment, the team can choose whether to charge the customer automatically or send an invoice. They can also use the payment section to manage actions such as refunds or voids.

Troubleshooting

Payabli is not showing as a payment method

Make sure the Payabli integration is active. If the integration is not active, the Payabli option may not be available.

I selected Payabli but cannot continue

Check that you have clicked Finalize after selecting Payabli. The button should change to Unfinalize once the finance option is finalized.

I need to change the selected financing option

If the finance option is already finalized, click Unfinalize to make changes before continuing.

I cannot find the invoice payment option

Payabli does not currently support paying directly from the invoice.

I need to refund or void a payment

Open the Payment section and use the available Refund or Void options.

I need to select a payment method

Use the available payment method options in the payment setup instead of expecting to be redirected to another page.
