How to connect HubSpot to Coworker

Connect HubSpot so Coworker can reason about your pipeline, accounts and go-to-market activity. HubSpot is admin-connected with a private-app access token; members can additionally authorize their own account for read and write actions.

What Coworker can do with HubSpot

  • Index contacts, companies, deals, owners, engagements and communications

  • Produce one report per deal with activity: stage changes, new engagements and notable communications, and who was involved. Untouched deals produce nothing.

  • Answer pipeline and account questions, and take supported write actions (creating or updating records) when explicitly requested

Deal reports are access-gated like the deals themselves — visible to the go-to-market audience configured for HubSpot data, never network-wide by default.

Before you start

  • Admins need a fully scoped HubSpot private-app access token

  • The token needs the read scope for every object you want indexed

Connect as an admin

  1. In HubSpot, create a private app and grant it read scopes for contacts, companies, deals, owners, schemas, calls and any other object you want indexed.

  2. Open Data Sources from the admin settings in Coworker and select HubSpot.

  3. Paste the private-app access token and save.

Connect as a member

  1. Go to the Work page and click Data Sources.

  2. Select HubSpot and complete the OAuth authorization.

  3. If a task needs to write to HubSpot, Coworker will prompt you separately for HubSpot (Write) access.

Good to know

  • HubSpot scopes are granular. A token can work for contacts and still return a permission error on owners, schemas or calls — include every stream's read scope at setup.

  • All credentials on one connection must belong to the same HubSpot portal. Do not mix portals.

  • Private-app tokens are static and do not refresh.
