How to connect Attio to Coworker

Connect Attio so Coworker can read your CRM data — contacts, companies, deals, and notes — and reason about it alongside everything else in your workspace. Attio is a hybrid connector: an admin must provide a workspace API key before any member can connect, and members then authenticate individually via OAuth.

What Coworker can do with Attio

  • Search and surface people, companies, and deals from your Attio workspace

  • Link Attio contacts and deal records back to conversations and meetings in Coworker

  • Answer questions about your pipeline, customer history, and relationship context

  • Resolve Attio contacts to the same Person entities as your other connected sources

Before you start

  • An Attio workspace admin must install the Coworker app in Attio before any user in the workspace can connect. Until this is done, individual OAuth connections cannot be completed.

  • The admin will need to generate a workspace API key from Attio with the required scopes (see below).

  • The admin does not need to be a Coworker user — they only need permission to install apps in the Attio workspace.

Step 1: Admin setup

This step only needs to be completed once per workspace.

  1. In Attio, go to Settings > API Keys and create a new API key.

  2. Select the following scopes when generating the key:

  • record:read — required for indexing contacts, companies, and deals

  • object_configuration:read — required for reading workspace schema

  • user:read — required for identity resolution

  • webhook:read and webhook:write — optional; enables real-time updates instead of periodic syncs

  1. In Coworker, open Admin Settings > Data Sources and select Attio.

  2. Enter the workspace API key and save. Coworker will validate the credential.

Once the admin connection is saved, users in the workspace will see Attio available to connect in their individual Data Sources.

Step 2: Connect as a member

  1. Go to the Work page and click Data Sources.

  2. Find Attio in the list and click Connect.

  3. You'll be redirected to Attio to authorize the connection. Sign in if prompted, then click Allow.

  4. You'll be returned to Coworker with Attio connected.

Note: If you don't see Attio in your available Data Sources, ask your Attio workspace admin to complete the admin setup above first.

Good to know

  • The workspace API key is used for indexing — it performs a periodic sync of your Attio data into Coworker's Organizational Memory.

  • Enabling webhook scopes on the API key allows Coworker to receive real-time updates from Attio. Without them, data will sync on a regular schedule instead.

  • The webhook scopes (webhook:read and webhook:write) are optional. Your data will still be indexed without them.

  • You can disconnect Attio at any time from your Data Sources settings.
