Connect Zoho CRM so Coworker can reason about your accounts, contacts, and deals alongside the rest of your company's data. Zoho CRM is a hybrid connector: a Coworker admin must connect first, and then each team member connects their own Zoho account individually.
What Coworker can do with Zoho CRM
Read accounts, contacts, and deals from your Zoho CRM organization
Surface CRM data alongside conversations, meetings, and documents from your other connected sources
Answer questions about pipeline, deal history, and customer context
Before you start
A Coworker Network Admin must complete the admin connection before any member can connect their own account
The admin connecting on behalf of the workspace must have the Administrator profile in Zoho CRM
Each member who wants to connect must have Zoho CRM API Access enabled on their Zoho profile (see below)
Step 1: Admin setup — enable API access for your team
Before members can connect their individual Zoho accounts, a Zoho admin must enable API access on each user's profile. This only needs to be done once per profile type.
In Zoho CRM, go to Setup → Users and Control → Security Control → Profiles.
Open the profile you want to enable — for example, Standard.
Turn on Zoho CRM API Access and save.
Repeat for any other profiles whose members will connect to Coworker.
Step 2: Admin connection in Coworker
This step establishes the workspace-level connection. Members cannot connect until this is done.
Sign in to Coworker as a Network Admin and go to Settings → Source Settings.
Find Zoho CRM and click Connect for the whole workspace.
Click Connect Zoho CRM and complete the Zoho consent screen. Sign in with a Zoho CRM Administrator account.
Once connected, Zoho CRM will show as connected in Source Settings.
Note: The admin connecting must have the Administrator profile in Zoho CRM. Connecting with a non-Administrator account — even one with API Access enabled — will result in an error.
Alternatively, if you need a Zoho admin who isn't a Coworker admin to complete this step, you can use Send link to Zoho CRM admin from Source Settings to email them a one-time connection link (valid for 7 days).
Step 3: Connect as a member
Once the admin connection is in place, each team member can connect their own Zoho account.
Go to the Work page at app.coworker.ai and click Data Sources.
Find Zoho CRM in the list and click Connect.
In the Zoho CRM Authentication Required window, click Authenticate with Zoho CRM.
Sign in with your Zoho account and accept the consent screen.
Zoho CRM will show as connected, and Coworker will confirm the Zoho organization.
Note: If you see an "Admin needed" badge on the Zoho CRM card, the workspace admin connection hasn't been completed yet. Ask your Coworker admin to complete Step 2 first.
Good to know
Zoho CRM is a hybrid connector: the admin connection sets up the workspace, and each member's individual connection determines which CRM records they can access.
Members connecting with a Zoho account from a different Zoho CRM organization will see an error. Everyone must be in the same Zoho org.
If a member sees the error "Ask your Zoho admin to turn on Zoho CRM API Access for your profile," a Zoho admin needs to follow Step 1 above for that member's profile.
Coworker reads accounts, contacts, and deals — write access is not required and no data is modified in Zoho.
