Connect Gainsight PX so Coworker can reason about how customers actually use your product. Gainsight PX is admin-connected with one subscription-level API key — there is no per-user connect flow.
Gainsight PX is not Gainsight CS. PX is product analytics (usage, features, in-app engagements), a different product from Gainsight Customer Success.
What Coworker can do with Gainsight PX
Index accounts (customer companies), end users, product usage (sessions, custom events, feature interactions), the tracked feature taxonomy and its adoption, in-app engagements (guides, dialogs, surveys) and whether they were viewed, saved segments, and NPS/CES survey responses with verbatim comments
Produce one usage-health digest per account with activity: health score, NPS and CSM in the header, the day-by-day activity trend, which features and guides got used, what survey respondents said, and how many known users the account has. Accounts with no activity are skipped, and deleted or churned accounts drop out.
Take supported write actions when a task requires it: create or update accounts and users, and send server-side custom events
PX accounts become Customer entities anchored on a company domain, so they merge with the same companies from your CRM and customer-success sources, and each account's named CSM becomes a verified Person owning it. Sessions, feature clicks, custom events and in-app engagements stay rolled up in the raw store.
Before you start
You must be a Coworker Network Admin
You need a Gainsight PX API key, minted at Administration > REST API in PX
Mint the key with both Read and Write permissions. A PX key's permissions are fixed at creation and cannot be changed later — a read-only key makes indexing look perfectly healthy while every write tool fails.
You need your PX datacenter URL. US, EU and US2 tenants use different hosts, and a key from one region is not valid against another.
Connect as an admin
Open Data Sources from the admin settings in Coworker and select Gainsight PX.
Paste the subscription-level API key.
Select or enter your datacenter / base URL (US, EU or US2).
Save.
Grant PX access to the product and customer-success people who should see it — the policy starts with no members.
Connect as a member
Gainsight PX has no OAuth or per-user credential. One subscription key reads the whole tenant.
Good to know
Every indexed PX record sits behind a single private access policy with no default members. Admins open it up by granting read access per user or per group, and write tools need an explicit write grant.
The people PX tracks are your customers' end users, not members of your workspace. They are indexed as customer contacts and never become people who can see data.
End users become Person entities only when they clear strict gates — a real, non-shared work email and recent activity — so anonymous visitors and shared inboxes never become people.
A domain shared across many PX accounts (an agency or parent org) is rejected as an anchor rather than fusing unrelated customers.
Dimensions a customer has not instrumented are marked as not recorded rather than guessed at.
