How to connect Humaans to Coworker

Connect Humaans so Coworker knows your employee roster and reporting lines. Humaans is an admin-connected, identity-only source — it anchors the roster spine of Coworker's knowledge graph.

Humaans Data in Coworker

Indexed into the knowledge graph

  • People directory, kept current via incremental syncs plus a daily full reconciliation — builds a verified Person entity for each employee

  • Job-role history

  • Merges each employee's identity with the same human across every other connected source

  • Builds your org chart from reporting lines

  • Stamps a standard set of HR properties onto each Person node

Available to users, but kept out of the graph

These stay in the raw warehouse, where they power daily digest reports and live chat tools rather than becoming searchable graph content:

  • Time away (leave entries)

  • Locations

Never collected

Compensation and salary data, bank details, review and feedback text, private-goal descriptions, identity documents, emergency contacts, birthdays, and home addresses are excluded at the API-scope and code level for every HRIS connector — they never reach the warehouse, the graph, or a prompt.

Before you start

  • You must be a Coworker Network Admin

  • You need a long-lived Humaans API token created by a Humaans admin with access to the complete people roster

  • Humaans is a beta connector — beta connectors may need enabling for your workspace

Connect as an admin

  1. Open Data Sources from the admin settings in Coworker and select Humaans.

  2. Paste the API token.

  3. Save.

Connect as a member

Humaans has no per-user connection path.

Good to know

  • A restricted token can authenticate successfully but yield an incomplete org chart — use an admin-created token.

  • Rotating the token replaces the workspace credential for both indexing and tools.
