How to connect Fellow to Coworker

Connect Fellow so Coworker can use your meeting notes, transcripts, action items, and recordings. Each person connects with their own Fellow API key — there is no shared workspace key or OAuth flow.

What Coworker can do with Fellow

  • Read your Fellow meeting notes and summaries

  • Search and retrieve your meeting recordings and transcripts

  • Surface action items from your Fellow meetings

  • Bring meeting context into answers about customers, projects, and decisions

Because each connection uses a personal API key, Coworker only reads what you have access to in Fellow — your notes and recordings, not anyone else's.

Before you start

  • You need a Fellow API key. Fellow API access requires the Team plan or higher with the Developer API enabled for your workspace (this is a workspace-level setting your Fellow admin must turn on).

  • You also need your Fellow workspace URL (e.g. yourcompany.fellow.app).

Connect Fellow

  1. In Fellow, navigate to Settings > Developer API and generate a personal API key.

  2. Go to the Work page in Coworker and click Data Sources.

  3. Select Fellow.

  4. Enter your Fellow workspace URL (e.g. yourcompany.fellow.app).

  5. Paste your Fellow API key and click Connect.

Why each person must connect their own Fellow account

Fellow's platform specifies that being an attendee of a meeting does not automatically grant you access to its transcripts and summaries — access must be explicitly granted within Fellow. To mirror this permission model, Coworker grants you access to Fellow meeting artifacts (transcripts, summaries, notes) only after you have authenticated with your own Fellow API key.

What this means in practice:

  • If you have connected Fellow, you will see your meetings, transcripts, and summaries in Coworker.

  • If you have not connected Fellow, you will not see Fellow meeting content — even if a colleague who attended the same meeting has connected their account.

  • Once you connect your Fellow account and the next sync occurs, your full history of accessible meetings will become available in Coworker.

Example: If five people attended a Fellow meeting but only one has connected their Fellow account to Coworker, only that person can retrieve the meeting's transcript and summary. The other four attendees must connect their own Fellow accounts to gain access.

Good to know

  • Fellow uses API keys, not OAuth. There is no sign-in flow — just paste your key.

  • Each team member must connect their own Fellow account. There is no admin-level key that covers the whole workspace.

  • Your workspace URL must be a fellow.app address. Coworker validates this before saving.

  • Only notes and recordings that are fully processed (with a generated summary or transcript) appear via the Fellow API. A meeting that just ended may not appear immediately.
