Summary
Contingency Management is ConCntric's solution to track and manage the contingency amounts in your projects. It falls at the intersection of Estimate and ForeSite.
When you upload a milestone estimate, you can add contingencies as markups, whether Design, Construction or Buyout contingency. These three amounts can be managed within ForeSite and Contingency Management.
When approving an item in ForeSite that will lead to a cost increase, you can fund it from one of the contingency amounts in your projects. One approach could be to fund it all from one source.
You can delete a funding source by clicking on the three dots and then remove.
You can then fund the ForeSite item from different buckets. Repeat the same process, each time assigning the amount to use from each contingency.
In ForeSite, you can also assign a funding source for items you previously approved. Click on an approved item that will lead to a cost increase, and you can assign in this menu one or multiple funding sources.
In the Contingency Management solution, you can track the contingency over time, looking at all funding sources at once, or focusing on one contingency at a time.
The Insights tab offers you more charts to easily visualize your project's contingency budget analysis. You can also track the number of unfunded items, and the number of funded items per funding source.
In the Reconciliation tab, you can also find a list of all approved ForeSite items, whether funded or unfunded, that will lead to a cost increase. You can directly fund unfunded items from this page by using the same approach. You can use one or multiple funding sources.
All the charts in this solution will then update automatically to help you stay on top of your contingency budget analysis.
