Summary
When adding services and materials to a Work Order, materials will auto-tax, meaning the taxable check box is automatically selected. Services might not.
Key Points
Go to Settings/ Tax Rates
Edit the Tax Rate that is not taxing Services
Click the Service Taxable check box
To get services to auto-tax:
1. Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner
2. Under Company Setup, click Tax Rates
3. Click Edit for the location that applies
4. Click the Service Taxable check box
5. Click the Update Tax Rate button
6. Repeat for all other locations, as needed
